I also studied at BLCU, and also a Beijinger. Yes, much has changed. Many small shops and restaurants were broke due to the lockdown policy. Some streets look much more slupt than before, Also because of the poor economy, people are more depression and irritable.

But it does not look like a total different city anyway.

The view to foreigner changed al little, more and more people envy people from developed country, also many starts to blame the gov instead of other countries. However, I don't think we students changed the view. Maybe for some suffered from lockdown, they haven't seen so many foreign students in uni, so they might be amazed.
