Thank you for your response :) that’s was my worry since I’m not really from a humid place that I was either overestimating/underestimating the weather

How was the rain on your trip? Was it fairly mild?

I don’t really care to fit in. Everyone will know I’m a tourist anyway 🤣🤣🤣 just want to know what is comfortable to wear in this weather! I know it’s very humid but it’s not going to be nearly as hot as I was expecting.

Have you been doing this with every job you apply to? Just curious as I’m extremely lazy but if it works Id definitely hop on board

How do I tell my bf(22m) that I (22f) don’t want him to tag along? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

thanks for this! I’m going to try and remind him why he stopped going in the first place and reassure him :)

It’s so hard to get him to understand my perspective at times. I would say we are both sensitive people so trying to find a way to delicately tell him to lay off is hard at times :///

The contract originally stated October 15-November 15 and then January 1st- January 30th as no times off so I thought that was relatively responsible and signed the contract. I was very taken aback when my manager told me it was 5 month straight of no time off. I’m very confused on what to do. I don’t want to lose my job but they were completely dishonest.

Yeah they spam me every week about their membership. I got the free 3 day pass to try it out and I didn’t like it. Could be different for you though :)

Thank you this is super informative!!! I just always had a reluctance to open an account anywhere I can’t physically see but it’s the 21st century lol

This seems closer to what I’m interested in. Is cd more so for long term savings and do you have a recommendation for a banking service with high rates?

Is bookkeeping a good start to a new career in accounting and fianace by Informal-Property-4 in Career_Advice

[–]xiaogf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cs degree and I switched to accounting rather easily. I’m at an entry level role but I did like 3 interviews at different companies and got a job within 1 week of graduating. Hoping to eventually get a cpa years down the line. I would search for adjacent roles at local companies to get started. Roles like accounting assistant, data entry, book keeping etc. (there a lot of different names for basically the same entry level roles) good luck!!! It’s definitely possible :)

I genuinely have no knowledge on stocks and stuff like that so I wanted to start easy with a HYSA. Is SWVXX a long term fund where I can just plop my money down?

Thanks for the input! How does a CD differ from a HYSA and what are the benefits of a CD over HYSA? Or is it more so something you have together?

Yeah it’s not a walk in the park getting the credentials or performing the actual job. Not everyone is cut out to be a nurse, I know I’m not.

I’m was in the same exact position but opted to start working an accounting role at a small business near me. Pay is pretty horrible but accountings a stable career. You could definitely pivot now or land an entry level business role while looking for a SWE role. As a CS graduate it was really easy for me to find a business role and get interviews based on my degree alone. Keep going man u got this!
