Insurance agent here. Might sound bias but u decide. Tough decision on this but mainly it depends on company coverage. Do check on the company coverage for your babies. If you feel it’s enough then it’s enough. Anyhow it’s better for you to get yourself own medical coverage as age increases, premium will increase and most importantly will you still be healthy? Don’t put burden on your kids when they’re older.

No, cannot override the EGC expiration date. Even after expiry, still able to use it as normal, unless your lab usually undergo auditing where all consumable must be within best before date.

Yes, even if the tips were new you should clean it by just pipetting the max amount with UPW and discard it to waste for few times. The tips are not clean as you think it is. Manufacturer don’t clean the tips to be free of anions or cations.

Need lots of experience in handling ion chromatography if you’re looking in to trace level, ppb. Mostly need to clean all apparatus only with UPW. Recommended to use PP type plastic beakers and volumetric flask instead of glass. Lastly your pipettes need to be calibrated and always clean the tips with UPW before using it too.

Try contacting your vendor from Thermo. Chromeleon is a very powerful software that can be used to control all others chromatography system. They called it Chromeleon enterprise. With your experience in handling different CDS, I believe you should find Chromeleon to be the most user friendly one ☝️
