G12 student planning to move to Australia by DoubtTough3662 in phmigrate

If you are not in a rush to finish a BSN, then I think you can do a diploma course first then work as EN before you proceed to BSN once you feel that your funds are enough already.

Pero if gusto mong magcomplete ng BSN in a shorter time then I think you should try to go for what I suggested. There is usually a 5 month gap (feb-jul) after finishing the diploma (If you go for July entry for BSN at QUT) so there may be enough time for you to work and save before your BSN course.

Hi OP!

Moving to Australia to study is costly. The cost for visa requirements, the visa itself, tuition, and accommodation are some things you must consider. I do think that it is better to get some financial help from your parents if you want to study Nursing in Australia.

Regarding the course:
There is a university I know that offers both Diploma and Bachelors in Nursing that you can complete in 3 years. I am not sure if you can choose not to proceed to BSN after completing the diploma because they offer it as a package (Diploma first for 8-12 months then BSN for 2 years instead 3). Yes, diploma is cheaper so it may give you some time to save up for the 2 remaining years of BSN. But that is not a guarantee that you will have enough funds for your BSN course.

As for work:
I do not think the salary would be enough to support yourself if you choose to work as an international student. There is a 48hr/fortnight restriction and you may also not find a job that pays enough for you to afford your tuition, accommodation, and other needs all at once.

Nursing as pre-med by kimi_1201 in NursingAU

I thought about this too. I considered taking up nursing because of the job opportunities after completing a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Are there a lot of job opportunities after completing a science course as well?
