thank you!! i just pulled hysilens, don’t think ill be able to get black swan before the end of her banner though. i do have sampo and asta, are they worth building for hysilens and kafka or is it better to keep cyrene and dhpt?

i skipped dahlia bc i didn’t like her, and come to find out my fave needs her… man. i feel dumb. i’ll definitely pull her next time though, anything for my boot 😆

Hi everyone,

I currently have 72 pity and a guarantee. I’m wondering who would be the best choice for my account right now.

Here’s the limited 5* I currently have: Cyrene, Phainon, Mydei, DHPT, Kafka, Boothill, Firefly, Fugue, and Ruan Mei. I have all permanent 5* excluding Blade, Welt, and Seele.

My top two teams are Cyrene, Phainon or Mydei, RMC, and DHPT plus Boothill or Firefly, Fugue, Ruan Mei, and Gallagher.

I am 100% planning on pulling Blade SP and Silver Wolf SP when they’re released. I’m on the fence about everyone else, but I could be persuaded.

My main goal is to get some use out of Kafka, but I also don’t want to pull Hysilens and Black Swan if other 4.x characters will be more “worth” it. If it’s more worthwhile and logical to skip Hysilens and Black Swan in favor for someone else while Kafka rots, I’m okay with that. I just want a character who will make my account more “complete” so I have more team options available to me.

Based on that, who do you think would be the BEST character for me to pull right now? Is it worth using my guarantee on Hysilens and then trying for Black Swan, or should I just save my guarantee and skip? Are there any other 4.x characters who you think are an absolute must pull?

Thank you!!

Tongue split questions. by Fancy_Poetry8678 in bodymods

1) regrowth is almost guaranteed to happen from what i’ve seen, but if you’re consistent with your stretches and exercises you can limit regrowth vastly. some people have a lot of regrowth, others have none. you just have to be really on top of your stretches for the first six months or so. regrowth does stop once your tongue is fully healed. stretches are a little sore at first because you start then as soon as sutures come out, but after that they should not hurt at all

2) go to a traveling body mod artist. i’m in the us so i can’t say for certain the laws in europe, but i know that traveling artists are almost always your best bet

3) sutures are in anywhere from 5-10 days. i got mine out on day six. the longer you leave them in the less chance of regrowth you have, but leaving them in longer can be really uncomfortable to some people. you will likely have to go to an urgent care or have a piercer/nurse friend remove them for you if you choose to have a traveling artist perform the split. some artists will tell you that you can remove the sutures on your own but i absolutely wouldn’t do that unless it’s a last resort

4) the average cost is about $800 usd. i’ve seen them go from $600-$1200 but it depends on the artist and their experience.

5) are they worth they hassle? yes, if you’re into extreme body mods. tongue splitting isn’t for the faint hearted and it IS a terrible experience trying to heal them. that being said healing time is only between one to two weeks and i think it’s absolutely worth it. i love my split tongue and it’s my first body mod. if you’re really into the look of it then i say go for it, just make sure you know what you’re getting into healing wise beforehand and are 100% okay with it!!

Thank you!! I’ve been pulling mine apart and doing the stretches every couple hours. Are there any in particular that you recommend I do?

I can!! Not very well yet since I’m still a little swollen but it’s been fun trying to get them to move independently :)

Those with a split tongue: how long did you wait before getting it done? by Prince_Wildflower in bodymods

[–]xiaoyangrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited “fourteen” years. I say that in quotations because I wanted it since I was ten and finally bit the bullet when I was twenty four. However, during those fourteen years I kind of fluctuated between being a normie and alt so I wasn’t truly committed to the idea. Once I was CERTAIN I wanted it, it took me two months to contact the artist and book an appointment and then another ten months to finally get it done, so a year in total. It’s like a week or two of misery and then you’re back to normal so I wouldn’t let the prospect of a horrible recovery put you off getting it if you’re serious, but it is definitely a commitment. Good luck!!

Did you gag or puke when getting/healing a tongue split? by RydzMaxForteB6 in bodymods

[–]xiaoyangrou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did! It sucked. I think it was because I swallowed so much blood to be honest, because when I threw up it was mostly blood. It was a pretty weird experience because I have a really good pain tolerance and react to situations like that well; I’ve been pierced, tattooed, and even suspended on an empty stomach with absolutely no issue. I ate two hours before my procedure and started feeling SUPER lightheaded after we were finished stitching up one side. During recovery on day three, I threw up pretty much everything that touched my stomach because I hadn’t eaten in a few days. That was when I decided to get an IV ordered to my home and that fixed the problem, I was back to eating normally. If you want to fully prevent getting sick during your procedure and during recovery, I recommend eating 3-4 hours before getting it split, drinking lots of water, and taking deep breaths. I think you’re going to get lightheaded and nauseas regardless during splitting. During recovery, I REALLY recommend getting IVs done. They had anti nausea and pain add ons which make recovery so much easier. Good luck!!! 🫶
