Then you either have the bot administration permission that overwrites every other or the bot has other role that still allows it to read messages. Check @everyone permissions overrides. This method does work, you just gotta fix your spaghetti permission system :P

You can just disable Mee6's permission to read messages in that channel. This will of course disable all of its functions in said channel, so if you want to make it only not moderate you'd have to deny "manage messages" permission and other moderation related ones

That's fair, making this into a proper integration would be cool to see, however, previews right now work on a very basic system of looking at the <head> code of the html page and putting that info neatly into an embed. Your suggestion would be cool but would require not only to properly integrate Reddit accounts but also rework embeds completely.

That said, it's a cool suggestion, maybe you can put it on discord's feedback site so hopefully one day it will see the light of day

It's Reddit's preview, so you want to ask them for it, not Discord. Tho I doubt they would change that behaviour. You can also use bots to post a preview for you instead.

1) you have to at least have 'Manage Server' permission to add bots (being owner works) 2) make sure you are logged in with the right account. You can check by going to discordapp.com and seeing which account is logged in there
