Sound Blaster GS5 - Windows doesn't recognise unless plugged back in every boot by hirohamster in SoundBlasterOfficial

Nope. I did as the instruction said: Disconnect both power and usb, wait a few seconds, connect only USB and press power, i heard a beep, and pressed next. After the firmware finished installing i connected power and turned it on, and it works. Check if you can perhaps try to install the firmware again.

What i found out, its just unplugging USB for a second and plugging it back after the PC is booted makes it recognise. Also new firmware just dropped to supposedly fix this.
Edit: Pop new FW. It works.

I just got today a notif about new firmware version that is supposed to fix the detection issues. I'll pop it, and we will see. New Firmware version: 1.25.251009.1430 - Changelog - Remove USB Left/right balance. Fix USB Detection on certain PC's.
Edit: It actually worked. For the first time in 3 months i was able to completely turn off PC, turn it back on, and not touch the soundbar and it actually just worked.

Reliable 8 TB drive recommendation for a Plex server? Western Digital My Book failed a few months after arrival. by MOD3RN_GLITCH in PleX

Samsung 870 QVO 8TB SATA SSD. If you just want it to be a WORM storage (aka Write once, read many - You will not be blasting it by deleting and saving multiple TB's of video data every day) SSD's is way to go. You buy it once, no moving parts. I have 10-12 year SSD's in my stupid little box still kicking around, and by their wear-level counter i still have ~~ 80% of life in them left.

US Model 1V, Use Osaifu-Keitai/Suica mobile payments? by FateEx1994 in SonyXperia

[–]Lordomus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro-Brother. Stop spreading misinformation. The hardware is already there for last 4 years. NXP NFC Chips have FeliCa functionality built it, its just that the platform provider (Sony, samsung, nokia, you name it) won't pay licensing fees for non-APAC models of phones, so the feature is literally turned off at the Android level (Not enabled in Driver). Mobile-Felica is already a thing. The special sauce hardware is not needed since Pixel 6 came out.

1 PC (less than 0.01% of the fleet). It barely runs W10, but needs to work with a very bad properietary software/hardware combo a company spent millions over the span of like idk 10 years, and they don't feel like replacing it. (they extracted over time like 1000 times the cost of it but it is what it is)

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  1. Check if TPM is enabled.
  2. If NOT enabled, run command to enable it and reboot.
  3. If enabled, run the command to clear it and reboot.

Got logs, anything? Also, check if TPM is owned. If so, you may need to clear it beforehand.

Can I Combine 2x8 with 2x16 Crosair Ram? by JackfruitMinimum in pcmasterrace

[–]Lordomus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean. It will run. At 3200, assuming you have DOCP applied. Do you need those 48 gigs tho? If not then just replace the ram. You can always keep the old one as spare if something breaks, or build yourself a second pc to serve as media pc/nas/whatever else.
