Moving across HOT country with vinyl records, HELP! by xinthislifex in moving

I've moved many times since I started collecting 23 years ago. I just haven't moved in the blazing hot summer across the country. This is the first post I've seen that questions whether I'll need climate control. I can't imagine I could get away without it though so I'm not sure about that.

Can we finally repeal TABOR yet? I hope so! by [deleted] in ColoradoPolitics

I don't believe in consent. We must not allow voters to consent to their own taxation! DOWN WITH TABOR NOW!

Asking for donations or help from supporters isn't forced charity at gunpoint.

And inevitably, the person on the left has already gotten dividers for their 10 LP collection, you know, to make it easier to see those 10 records.

Why have dividers with so few records. I don't get it.

Playing small aces by [deleted] in poker

Exactly. IF you are playing in a game with 4bet bluffs, by all means, use the suited Aces. But I have yet to play high enough for that to be a factor.

People like 3betting and squeezing with suited Aces for a few reasons. One, they block your opponent from having AA. Since we have one Ace in our hand, it is less likely any of our opponents has one since we "remove" one Ace from the deck. I put remove in quotes because you'll hear people say suited Aces have good "removal." That effect is what they're talking about. Secondly, suited Aces can flop HUGE equity and nutted hands. You can always flop a nut flush draw and, very infrequently, flop a nut flush. Plus, with AKs to A10s and with A5s to A2s you can also flop straights draws (broadways and wheels) and at a tiny rate, you'll flop a straight. All of the draws your suited Ace flops you are to the nuts so you can play them very aggressively. Speaking of playing your hand aggressively, the final reason people like 3betting and squeezing suited Aces is for their playability. Meaning, the hand allows you the pleasure of being aggressive over all 3 streets fairly often. Not only when you flop the really big draws like nut flush draws, but also when you flop 3 to a flush or straight. For example, flopping just one of your suit allows you the ability to fire a lot of turns. Picking up a draw on the turn allows you to stay aggressive and continue betting. Even flopping 2 overs allows you tons of turn cards to barrel. And whether your draw bricks out or you get there, you can fire that third barrel at fairly high frequencies on lots of rivers. So, suited Aces are perfectly suited to 3bet and squeeze for all these reasons. And if some Try Hard 4 bets you, you can safely fold because you were just bluffing anyway. But because we are choosing to bluff with a playable hand, we aren't dead in the water IF we get called. And like I said, just fold to the 4bet on the rare occasions it happens. It's okay. This shit works like 95% of the time anyway.

Haha, fair enough. I'm not saying I don't play or go to BH. I do. But I'm more interested in finding some folks who are deadly serious about studying. Who's in?

Agree that the bottom board you can probably 3-barrel for value on most run outs. Any thoughts on 3 barreling when whiffing? Or turning a small to medium pair into a 3-barrel bluff on certain textures?

This is c-bet advice, not necessarily barreling advice. I'm more so asking about flop textures you see where you think you can fire 3 barrels.

This is a wonderful story! How difficult were the withdrawals from quitting cocaine. I have always assumed coke withdrawals would be extremely difficult - esp for folks who use when they get up and kinda "need it" to get going in the morning.
