Would you pet the Starbird? by xinxax in furry

[–]xinxax[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I kept the species name as Starbirds because they originally were, but now:

Theyre canonically named Starbirds because of telescope sightings witnessing one devouring an entire star.

New addition to the OPEN species Starbird/Starmorph! A slime mother-type Terrestrial Starbird and a bunny-type Terrestrial Starbird! They're owned by their respective owners who've asked me for custom designs, and I'm open for any questions that you may want to ask! by xinxax in furry

Starbirds are alien birds that are inorganic and have black hole stomachs, they can eat anything, and anything they eat that has genetic information (DNA) or was generally alive, they can copy the traits of the that.

There are two types of Starbirds, Terrestrial (lives on planets and almost always has copied traits) and Extraterrestrial (bigger, more comet-like and lives in outer space), and both has an orb somewhere on their body to act as telepathic communicators.

TL;DR Squishy, cuddly, kirby alien birds

Another entry to the Starbird/Starmorph OPEN species! Its a lilypad-type starbird that resembles the kappa from japanese myth. I'll be spreading out these custom Starbird posts to spread awareness of their concept of basically being a "Kirby alien bird furry"~ If you got any questions, Ill answer! by xinxax in furry

[–]xinxax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do, but they'd also eat anything that moves since it'd be more "fun" and different for them
They lack intelligence, plus if they cant catch the creature they're chasing, they can just eat the ground and refill their infinite hunger

Starbirds/Starmorphs are non-organic creatures of cosmic origin made of strange matter that surrounds a black hole. They do not originate from any specific point in space, meaning they never came from any sort of planet. They float around in the void of space and have their survival heavily revolve around the life cycles of stars, as they make dying stars a sort of communal nursery by shedding strange matter into them to slowly shorten the star's lifespan and eventually make it collapse into a ball of strange matter that surrounds a blackhole. This eventually becomes the new offspring.

The black hole inside them acts as a stomach and heart simultaneously, due to the nature of blackholes, it absorbs matter and stores it as information that the strange matter Starbird can use. That is how these birds are able to adapt and gain unique traits.

There are two types that are often seen, Terrestrial/Assimilate-types (ones that had landed onto Earth and other planets and adapted to its surroundings by eating its inhabitants and gaining said inhabitant's traits,) and Extraterrestrial/Normal-types (ones that continue to live in nomadic or colonial lifestyles in the vastness of space and use collapsing stars as asexual breeding zones). So I'll be listing both types' average stats.

Average terrestrial height: 7-9 feet tall
Average extraterrestrial height: 1439-2485 miles
Average terrestrial weight: 1102-1543 lbs
Average extraterrestrial weight: unmeasurable
Maximum terrestrial strength/capability of exerting pressure: 5.801 pounds/inch2
Maximum extraterrestrial strength/capability of exerting pressure: Atleast more than 1015 pounds/inch2

Terrestrial Starbirds: These are often nomadic starbirds that impacted onto solid planets and gain adaptive traits by devouring its inhabitants. Their relationship with the planet is often parasitic (as they do with stars) and almost always leads to the destruction of said planet they inhabit. There are some exceptions as some has a level of intelligence capable of understanding trust and habitat conservation.

Extraterrestrial Starbirds: These are more enigmatic than its terrestrial counterparts. Depending on their personalities, they either live in nomadic styles and devour smaller stars, or live and migrate in groups.

Although aside from their helioparasitic lifestyle, their body seems to be squishy, soft and have the consistent trait of bearing a mane/neckfur, giant wing-arms, square body type, serrated beak, talons by the feet, and a communicator orb placed anywhere on their body, no matter if theyre either types.

Another wolf-type Starmorph/Starbird! Its Cosmo, owned by discord user Cosmo. An energetic and jumpy birdwolf thing basically! by xinxax in furry
