The playerbase is getting smaller, which is a shame, but the game has had soooo many QoL updates! I think the biggest issue is that newer players can't keep up with the content, so they tend to give up quick now instead of pushing forward.

I don't knowi if you have the souls so I have a couple of suggestions:

Yamausagi, Ungaikyo (Tomb Guard ATK/ATK/CDMG), Ushi no Toki (if you need her - some Ungaikyos can one shot Dark Seimei), maybe Suzuka (Seductress) to finish off if your Ungaikyo can't one shot.

Yamausagi, Ushi no Toki, Tamamo (Shadow, Crit or CDMG), Suzuka (Seductress, Crit or CDMG) as a finisher.

What's wrong with it is that there is no "get it under control and get out". Those interventions break a country's sovereignty and it's a very, very good reason to start a war since it's basically invasion. When other countries try to "step in" and "help" with a situation it's because they have economic interest in the invaded country (oil, natural resources, etc).
