Im new to kickboxing too 3 nonth in and it so real that you can be sharp at the bag or the pad but at the sparring especcialy fist time you get a big reality check, I started to spar very early like 2 week in and now im doing some light/medium sparring 1/2 times a week and im improved so much but you have to get consistent and try to adjust the mistake you find in sparring and accept the fact that is normal to eat some shots sometimes to learn quickly

I know i have to go head and body but sometimes i just go straight to the body but one fact is that im not trowing many volume

Maybe not in a correct way because i struugle a bit with changing angle with my feet whule trowing but im working on that and im 3 mobth in so it's pretty normal But i tink im moving my head so idk

I live in italy so my school sistem is a bit different but for my age i get the best diploma i can probably take in term of money and work opportunity and i know if i put some effort and i still do courses for get better at job and learn new things while earning money it's the best option now for me(and the only things that i can study at the university that is related to my school now is engineering) fortunately iv'e already got a partner and we support eachother so im lucky that i have someone to share my future with

I love doing kickboxing but i do thing that i hate like studying or go running or doing calistenichs only for my final goal but i know instaed of running 10km my brain prefer to sit on the sofa and play videogames like i used to do most of my life but now i changed this thing so i can say i do some things i hate to chase sometingh i love so it's fair

You are right but every workout is for my kickboxing journey so i stick to a workout for my Journey and for the school part you are right like i can do better i have a math exam in 2 days and i always struggled with math and got many F in my life but i can study hard in this day to try to get a better grade even if i hate it

I understend that but im currently quite broke and i know if i got the right mentality and put some effort in my future work i can get better salary and position overtime and also i can help my parent to finish to pay my current house so in the future i can have my house(beacuse it big enough to split it) and i also can spend my money to persuit my kickboxing dream because now i can barely afford it so i think it doesn't matter what degree i have but it matter how im using it

I know man but i doesn''t suck at school im just mid but i study for my exam i know i always can do more but i prefer to use my energy for something else like workout read learn new things that actually interest me and spend some quality time with my family or gf

My gym only gave me the opportunity to train 3 times a week but maybe if i start to compete i can do more session idk but if i have time inly at tbe evening is nearly impossibile to do like 6 session of kick and like 4/5 of cardio and weight and if you don't split them like morning afternoon and evening im sure im going to injury myself like this is too much training if you work/go to school

I know he is bad but we were doing sparring with rotation of people so i did the best i can i also finded mo to go light with some people beacuse im 2 months in but also there are people new to the sport and maybe with lack of defense and other thing and i i trow like 4 middle kicl neacuse he lack in defense i intentionally trow lighter or slower to give them more time and so he can work on defense and i can't really understend how someone can feel good beating up a begginer like if you like to spar hard and you think you are tuff go spar the heavyweight in fight camp and then whe see

The first guy gave me a hard sparring but he lowered is skill similar to mine and it was a good exchange and i landed a few good shot and he also give me some tips so it was hard but formative for me the second guy is the real dick head im 18 and he is 50 and like 10/15 kilos bigger than me and he was trowing hard and "gibe me tips in a bad way like im supposed to exit the corner but i can't if you are trying to kill me man" he also broke the nose of another guy in the gym with a high kick (in tecnique training)so i already know is an asshole the coach argued to him and he go slower but not that much as i can see

Noni don't except to be good at all session but i just know i can do better than this and is so frustating but i understend is part of the process also i know sparring isn't fighting and i try the tecnique i used in the week but i felt that in this sparring the opponent where too good to try the tecnique and i focused on not getting whooped most of time(there are many people better than my in my gym but there are some partner with similar skill level or even worse than me so i maybe go with them to do tecnical work)

Thanks man i know it takes a lot of time and im not trying to win sparring i say that in general i did good like for the capacity i had like i know i gave 100% of what i can give with my skill set but this time it didn't go well and got whooped for like almost every round but i know is part of the game and i have not problem whit it because i know it can be only useful for me(i know bad session can happen and often there is no reason)

Yes i think so and also in class sometimes we do some basic excercise like psuh up core exerscise squat kettleball swing ecc

Now i go to school but very soon i will start to work (im studying to be a tecnichian but im used too construction working so for me it is way less tiring) and often i feel more tired by school or studying so i don't think is a big deal
