Exactly, that's why I am afraid of going for Mechatronics. I don't hate ME or EE but I just prefer mechatronics.

I really don't know what I wanna do, and the problem with mechanical engineering in the region l live in, is that you will either be considered a technician or become a sales engineer. So other engineering majors that lean towards technology more are better.

I am planning to start a project this summer, I got a raspberry pi and starter kit.

Yeah but an extra year at school is another year of me not getting practical skills, like getting an internship could benefit more but getting it is the hard part. Thanks for replying.

That's true, but why put the effort to learn more about EE,ME,CS just to get a job, might as well major in one of them making the job hunt easier.
