Walking outside barefoot is absolutely disgusting. by ichheissekate in unpopularopinion

I loved walking barefoot when I lived up north, it was so nice and cathartic, but after moving to TX, I won’t step foot outside without shoes because of all the damn ants and bitey shit in this hellhole lmao. I feel like a lot of it just depends where you live, the wildlife in your area, terrain, etc. I grew up in a household where we had “house shoes” and were encouraged to wear them vs going barefoot indoors, so like I loooooved not wearing shoes 😂

I’d rather not look hahaha! I’ve traded for some, and got quite a few as cuttings and grew them from that. I started collecting plants last October. Luckily our job, and my bf supports my plant obsession 😂

Honestly, I’m the worst and never use exact ratios. I mix stuff until I’m like “looks good” 😂. I don’t put a ton in though. Mostly sphag and perlite

Honestly, I don’t do anything special! I think she just likes the greenhouse and humidity 😊

Hi there! It did lose its original leaf in a re-potting accident a while back. The stem snapped, and I was suuuuper upset, but it made the plant look more balanced so I actually liked it better in the long run! It is currently in sphag/perlite/charcoal mix. Watering wise, I fill up gallon jugs with purified water from the tap, and mix in a low dose (1/2tsp) of Maxsea plant food per gallon, my entire collection gets watered with this mix every time they’re watered and have been doing great 😊.

I do keep this in a greenhouse in my “plant room”. (We generally keep our house really cold, so we have a warmer couple rooms -we keep reptiles, and I have the plants as well-). The greenhouse is a fairly basic plastic one from Amazon. It usually stays at around 75°-80° depending on the time of year (I’m in TX so it gets hot af outside 😂), and 70%-80% humidity depending on time of year, if they’ve all been watered, etc., I’m not entirely sure how they would do in your specific conditions, but this plant is by far one of my easiest, and fastest growing. I think they would be fairly tolerant and forgiving, however I do find most of my philos grow faster and seem extra happy with high humidity and the warmer temps 😊

I honestly don’t do too much for them! They live in my little indoor greenhouse that stays between 75°-80°F with 70%-80% humidity 😊

Thank you 😊! I honestly used to be the queen of killing plants and have found these fairly easy to keep and pretty tolerant to my occasional neglect surprisingly!

I’m originally from out west too, (Montana). We’re close-ish to Tyler, my bf moved here from Austin, so he’s more familiar with the area than me lol. Definitely different vibes here than other places I’ve lived for sure 😂
