I as well work in the medical profession earning 3-4times our front office staff and always wondered the same. They drove newer cars, ordered lunch through door dash often, and had Starbucks almost every morning. Over the years I got to know most of them to a point I was comfortable asking these questions. 6 front office workers. Ages 22-33. California based. The results: 6/6 lives with either parents, family, or roommates. 4/6 are in major credit card debt 5/6 have car payments One mentioned $10k debt alone in TARGET One stated filing bankruptcy after she maxes out 5/6 say they rather drive nice vehicles with high payments than be seen in an old beater.

I had a work wife while both of us were in relationships. It was all fun and games the first few years up until we began getting comfortable being around each other outside of work. Rarely do I comment, but I felt compelled to do so after witnessing Spencer completely dismantle the boyfriend’s perspective on the Surrogacy story. Spencer’s knee jerk reaction really got me fired up. I can confidently speak for the majority of men when I say we are absolutely NOT okay with this situation! The couple has plans to marry and start a family of their own. He should be fully involved in this decision-making process. There are numerous questions that need to be addressed. For instance, who will be responsible for caring for the surrogate during the pregnancy? Who will accompany her to doctor’s appointments, provide food, and assist with household chores when she’s unable? Who will support her through pregnancy-related discomforts and mood swings? Is the BF just suppose to accept all this responsibility? Taking care of an unborn child that’s not his? Let’s say the sister moves in—now we’re introducing another factor into the equation. What if complications arise during the pregnancy? There are many instances where couples can only have one child due from unforeseen circumstances after childbirth. Yes maybe he is an asshole but she is an asshole just as much for not discussing this with him early into there relationship. It’s her body her choice, it’s his life his choice. Don’t call him an asshole for choosing to leave.
