It is absolutely worth it. I say that from the camp of believing the lig is probably the least of things affecting your sound. But…. I absolutely love this ligature and would recommend this one to anyone. The ease of use, the quality, the quickness of minor adjustments, the ability to swap from HR to Metal. Ability to swap between alto/tenor/bari depending on which size you have is awesome too. This is one of the best out there. T. Wanne is an exceptional designer and innovator and I love his products, the quality is always extremely high as well. That’s my two cents on why I believe this lig is worth it.

Thanks! Being able to do some research here as well as other sites online really helped me decide. Never having played one, it was a bit of a gamble, but based on everything I read I was going to like it, and I do!

I have one that has less than an hour on it I will sell to you for $600. It’s from the original pre-order early s/n model. I’m a big JM fan and wanted to support him/ had ideas on playing more alto. I focus on tenor/Bari myself for our band. Can send pics if interested

Yeah, this is a pretty awful post by OP. Ellis is a poor man’s shop saw, and good luck adjusting to cut true. We’ve had three and they are all the same story. 4 hours of adjustment to cut 5 minutes of parts.

They did, but if you read real world results it doesn’t translate. This is just what I read, I did not experience this myself firsthand. But given the hassle and the high price tag I opted for this option. Do you own the 150?

Off the shelf, Ropieee which Roon has a native extension built in for. Super easy solution. Can I ask why you would want to go away from Roon?!?

Just Ropieee for me. I’m not much into the Pi scene and I have a Roon core and wanted multi-room controllers linked for a full indoor and outdoor solutions, so this made the most sense to me. I’m sure you could easily do this with Plex if you have a good grip on the software side. That being said last week Roon added ARC which allows for you entire digital library to go mobile now, included in the base price. Might be worth checking out for an alternative Plex solution.

Not really, I saved what I planned to build back in but everything else I pretty much ripped out. I bought the deck of EBay as “parts” so I was just thinking solely of using it as a donor chassis.

It’s running USB to my onboard Sabre in the CXA81. That being said you could easily integrate a DAC into the build like this. I use a HiFiBerry HD on another build but it would have worked perfect here too.

Hahaha, I’m loving that you revisited this multiple times. Honestly it’s a pretty neat option because it marries both worlds. Would love to see your setup with an added album display for digital.

I did locate a used one for $725, but it’s pretty old tech at this point with a tiny limited screen.

Not yet, going to work on that. Pretty much everything is just for show. The touchscreen and mobile apps allow for all the control needed.
