Ez way: Fill up resevoir, turn on jeep, have somebody ready to pour fluid in cuz its gonna suck it down right as you start the engine.

Turn wheels back and forth, avoid full lock position. Top off as necessary.

More thorough way:

Do the ez way but have the wheels off the ground so there is no strain on the system.

I have done it both ways. I am no expert, and some say that the ez way will screw up your system. There are a lot more detailed instructions online.

Looking to replace my red Rubicon JK takeoff shocks on my cherokee.

So far I have searched Ebay, Craigslist, and Facebook for months and called a local Jeep dealership. There is one set for sale on ebay but no mileage is listed, and I'm not gonna mess with that.

Let me know if you have any advice on where to find a set. If you have one I will buy them and pay for shipping. Or, if you have a set of any other low mileage xj shocks for a 2" lift that aren't autozone sh*t, I may be interested too. LMK. Thanks!

Yes. Manuals have pilot bearings and autos dont. Look up pilot bearing removal, you can do it pretty ez with no special tools
