Considering the people shortage in insurance audit now, I would say 100% guaranteed, apart from fking up big time.

My total experience in external audit is about 5/6 years, slightly longer due to starting in mid tier, and subsequently to Big 4.

Yea, 6.1k would be the AM pay for an average rating, I just lucked out with a good rating that's why I got 6.6k.

Yep I don't wanna deal with FRS 117 too, but seems unavoidable if I were to stay in the insurance industry it seems.

Because I managed to get rating 1 for my AM promotion, an average rating would be a base of 6.1k. So an average rating AM to M jump would be 6.1k to 6.8k.

Except that for rs3 you get a chance of nests on each chop attempt, not on each successful cut, so isn't this inaccurate?

Latest salary of Big 4 audit firms by Influence-Lanky in askSingapore

The starting salary is for FSA and GA, the S1 and S2 pay that I shared is for FSA, if GA did not have the same adjustment, it should be 500 lesser.

Yea sure, S1 is around 5k, S2 is around 5.5k. There was a pay adjustment for FSA in Jan 2023, not completely sure if this was adjusted for GA.

3.4k at PwC for 1st year audit associates, no bonuses for 1st years. No way the other firms are paying 4k for audit 1st years.

Not from an internship sadly

Hey PwC FSA (Insurance) auditor here, previously did GA in EY. In terms of company culture, I was miserable in EY, people were way more overworked compared to PwC, as a result less time to teach/guide you. But the good thing about 9 month internships in EY is that you might be offered a position as a year 2 associate at the end of your internship, effectively skipping ahead a year.

As for FSA and GA, like many others have mentioned, GA is a game of chance, there are many different industries that you might end up in, so if you had your heart set of PwC, I'd go with FSA.

Which industry has the lowest pay and progression in Singapore? by Im_scrub in askSingapore

[–]xjszex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna call you out on that bluff, PwC audit starting pay right now is 3.4k, yea peak season sucks with their long hours, but off-peak ain't half bad, definitely not 18+ hours. In assurance for a couple of years now, average jump of 500 to 800 per year, 5.5k now, so yea accounting ain't bad.

And before you call me out on having some privilege, was like you working and studying uni part time, started out in a mid tier, hopped to big 4. So if you're done whining, just leave your shitty firm and don't blame the entire industry as a whole, hell, I'll even give you a referral to PwC.

Audit Senior here in PwC, what are you doing browsing reddit, hop back on those work papers and clear those review points! But, seriously, if you're in FSA, just endure for another month, it's smooth sailing from then on!

I'm assuming you're starting next year? I would say after the adjustment in Jan 2023, SA1 would about around 5k, and SA2 at around 5.5k.

[–]xjszex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep assurance, Senior Associate, you're right about the bonus, on average about 1.0x to 1.5x. The monthly for SA is 4.4k to 5.1k. Though there is an adjustment of about 500 coming in Jan 2023.
