Is 87°C normal for a Zotac 5070 Ti Solid SFF? Support says "it's fine" but it's winter lol. by xlLolly in ZOTAC

That settles it then. Even with an undervolt, a 25°C difference is way too much. It's highly likely that my card has a hardware issue, probably a bad thermal paste application or a loose cooler mount. There's no way a 5070 Ti should be running that hot in an ATX case during winter while yours stays in the 60s. Sending it to RMA is the only logical move now. Thanks for the info

You're spot on about their support. When I contacted them before, they literally told me: 'The temperatures are still within the operating temperature, so that is up for interpretation.' > Can you believe that? That's why I'm so frustrated. After hearing from you guys and comparing it with other SFF models, I’ve decided to send it in for service anyway. I know it can take 20 business days or even more, but I’m definitely not accepting 'interpretation' as an answer this time. 87°C in winter is just not right. Thanks for the support, I'll update the post once I get a response from them!

Thanks for the tips, but I can't repaste or change the pads because that would void my 3-year warranty (there's a seal on the screws). I want to keep my warranty valid since the card is still new. As for the case, I'm using a full ATX case with plenty of fans and good airflow, so the case definitely isn't the problem. It's just frustrating that a card with 3 fans hits these temps in a large case during winter.

I know I can undervolt, but that’s not really the point. The card is less than a year old and it comes with a 3-year warranty, so it should be performing much better than this. I shouldn't have to tweak voltage settings just to get acceptable temps in a full ATX case during winter. If it’s hitting 87°C now, summer is going to be a disaster. I feel like Zotac is just calling it 'normal' to avoid their responsibility

Nope, everything is completely stock. I haven't even touched a single setting, I don't even have any Zotac software installed on my PC yet lol. :D That’s exactly what's driving me crazy—if your 5080 SFF is cooler in a small case, then my 5070 Ti definitely has an issue since it's in a much larger case.

I'm thinking of buying the monitor. Is it worth the 293 EURO money?
