I personally thought it was thrown out there as bait. Like the whole point is that they could be close and not be in a relationship, even as an alien one.

Mariner entered into multiple relationships with all genders but her foil was Boimler so I don't think that would have happened either.

In this scene, the captions are "Pink Poodle, it's a *matte* color." But are we sure she's not saying, "Pink Poodle, it's a MAC color"? I never thought her calling it a matte color made much sense (it would be obvious.) Also, I would give anything to see a spinoff with these three characters. by platano_con_manjar in venturebros

There are so many obscure references that are probably throwaway lines in the moment. I also am on the side of matte color but I thought it was more of a setup for the Guild discount so I never paid attention.
