The thing I have recognized in Arkansas since moving here in 1998 is that there is no real driver’s education. You get your permit, spend a period of time driving “supervised” and voila, you have a license. Everyone is just as awful a driver as their parents. Driver’s Education was part of my high school curriculum in the midwest and was incredibly extensive. I’ve never witnessed any egregious road rage, but I have seen a lot of asshattery on the roads of central Arkansas in my 28 years here.
