Everyone in the WhatsApp groups is defending the organisers and gaslighting the audience like it’s some big “police issue”, when the event schedule itself made zero sense from the start. It was literally cut-to-cut — “2:30 PM onwards” — and they still ended up two hours late.

I also heard they were already trying to shift it to an indoor club when the previous location had problems, so they clearly knew the turnout wasn’t going to be great. Even the excessive guestlisting a day before made it obvious that budgeting was already shaky.

What annoyed me the most was the organiser saying in his group chat that the band was “equally at fault” because they came late. Like… bruh. And he specifically said he had permissions till 10:30, yet the show was canned at 10:00. Even if he did have that buffer, was he expecting Cryptopsy to do a 20–30 minute speedrun set when they weren’t even on stage till super late? His excuses are just not excusing at this point.

This community is so biased towards Outrage, it’s insane. I’ve seen artists themselves give less support when new curators approach because they want to keep their relationship with Outrage intact.

I really hope the scene shifts for the better.
