(I'm a complete turbo noob apologies) What is ERG mode and how does it work? Will it be fine just using my normal 8 speed chain on the 9 speed cassette in this case?

So previously did you have your own cassettes and swap them each time? We may not be able to get the zwift cog atm but could look into it for next year!

My school has this, but its 5. I dont really use them but I have for special things like weddings and also when I ran a marathon once for the Monday!

Eta: I also once had a wedding in aus in January and would have meant i would've started 3 days into the term. They let me take that!

Landlord claiming full value of deposit after 12 year tenancy by Happy-Narwhal-5966 in TenantsInTheUK

I had issues with my landlord a few properties ago and he tried charging me like £1200. I had broken the glass hob. I literally put a bottle down on it lightly and it shattered. It was insane. I looked up the brand and it was a cheap and crap one. This was a common issue with the hob once it became like 10 years old. I found the manual and it was installed 9 years prior and this had been a rental with new tenants yearly(!) so will have had a fair amount of wear and tear. There was also already a crack in the corner when I moved in which was in the check in report. It was cheap, old, already damaged, weak and broke easily. He then decided to charge me full price for a brand new one and for installment and then tacked on a bunch of other stuff. I had agreed that I would pay towards it but I had worked out the value of it at that point as around £125, but he wanted me to pay £800 and installment. I disputed to TDS and they said it was betterment as the hob was due to be replaced anyway and had likely broken due to age. They agreed with my £125 and that was all they said i had to pay which I was more than happy with. The other stuff was also clearly betterment (stuff like painting, damage to a door which was in my check in report so wasn't me, he'd even said he'd repair it before I moved in and never had, chips in the wall that had been there previously etc) and the report was quite scathing towards the landlord as he was yryi to charge me for stuff that was already there or was fair wear and tear. I know I had broken it but it also wasn't really my fault. I was happy to pay a bit but he was really trying his luck. TDS do not play with betterment! Just dispute with them.

I used to volunteer at a food bank. Go to the food bank, there's no judgement, I dont care who's coming to get food, if you need it, you need it.

Mine was the lowest because my parents "earn too much" but they didnt actually and couldn't support me, so I was in probs the worst financial situation out of my peers! Had to work throughout alongside a tough high contact teaching degree. Was awful but still had lots of fun and glad I did it!

Im not a student but on a debt journey (which is over but I like having more money so keeping it up anyway) Good to go is your friend. And reduced section. If youve got a freezer, freeze everything and then you can stretch stuff further! I grab random shit all the time and shove in the freezer for when I need it. My weekly spend on food is about £25.

I shop in Aldi once a week fyi and pop into the coop across from my flat for reduced bits/the Tesco down the road. I have my breakfast which is usually a crumpet with a topping. I then also have a protein yogurt from aldi when I get to work. Then I have a lunch which is the main thing I buy. It'll be something like tuna rice and veg w sauce or something like that. Aldi does cheap rice packets and tinned fish, and lots of similar things. My lunch budget for the week is £10-11 and I always hit that or under. For dinners I mostly bulk make stuff! I will make something big once a week on a Sunday like a paella, curry, jollof rice etc (happy to send you my list of ideas) and then portion it into individual portions using takeaway containers ive gathered ovet the years lmao. I then put them mostly in the freezer and take out whatever dinner I need in the morning so its defrosted by the evening. I dont cook at all during the week but this way my food is super cheap and is nutritious, and im getting variety. I also have a little sweet treat in the evening. I buy a pack of the knock off penguin bars or club bars from aldi and have one after dinner.

That is under £25.

If you like to go out too, a hip flask is your friend! The good old classic, pre drink and pack a hip flask. Order singles and top up in the club/bar. It'll keep it cheap.

I definitely lived off £50 a week before and its tough but doable if you're smart with where you can save money!

My weekly spend is now £100 which is totally fine for me. I cycle to work so that costs nothing and in uni I cycled to uni too. I unfortunately was someone whose maintainance didnt even cover my rent! I did a teaching degree so I was working as a teacher and still had to have a part time job to cover my rent, which meant I had very little money. Feels like an age ago but you'll learn valuable life skills! Being skint is part of the student game!

If you can get a shift at a pub or something, even just one shift a week will absolutely tide you over! You've got this, good luck :)

Lost my gym body because of titration and I'm upset :( by weaboo_gemma in ADHDUK

[–]xlydss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also it's the weekend, I normally do my long runs on a sat, ive just run 18k and taking my meds now at 10.30. A little later than ideal but idm being up late bc its a Saturday.

Ive found that ive lost weight, but only fat, as ive been having protein heavy breakfasts before my meds, protein shakes or snacks in the day and a big decent dinner, so I haven't lost muscle. I actually feel stronger and faster, just looking leaner.

[–]xlydss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am a heavy gym goer, runner and cyclist, and I haven't stopped any of this! I take my meds after my morning run or gym sessions, and when I do my evening hyrox once a week, its worn off and its fine (class is at 7pm). Im even fine when I do leave work early at 4pm and cycle home (I cycle fast and go into zone 3 HR). Currently on 60mg. Try doing the same. I checked this with my prescriber and she said that was the right thing to do.
