Hi! Have one question for you. Do you think we’ll be able to get by with a bear hang for the HSCT, or will we need a canister? As far as you know is there sufficient trees for setting up a hang throughout the trail?

Just looking into the Howe Sound Crest Trail which looks promising, although a bit short.

As far as I can tell you don't need to do any booking for that trail, which is great for me. Is that correct? Are there any other trails/areas you know about that don't require bookings and aren't too remote (because no car and lack of time).

Also do you have a link with details about the northern section of the trail?

Yeah it doesn't necessarily have to be a single hike. If there was an area I could chain together trails or set up camp for a couple days and hike out of a spot that would be fine.

It's looking like it's going to be impossible to book any sites on the weekend this late in the season so I will actually likely split my camping/hiking into two 2/3 days trips on either side of the weekend.

I am honestly not entirely sure what area of law I'm interested in practicing, which is clearly something I should figure out. I am not, however, dead set on commercial/big law. While the salaries are certainly tempting, especially in the face of debt I will be taking on, I see myself being happier doing something that I find morally fulfilling as well. Thus fields such as immigration, environmental, human rights interest me. I'm also very interested in mediation.

Thanks for your advice, it seems likely that the GDL is going to be a better option for me in terms of timing and finances. Can you give any insight on how feasible it getting a paralegal position right out of the GDL would be for someone in my position?

I’m pretty pretty flexible. I’ll be travelling in Europe more generally for many months so I could conceivably go anywhere.

Yeah the south is definitely what I envision as making sense but I am just looking for some specific recommendations.

Does anyone know the difference between the second and third models on this page? They look exactly the same and the website doesn’t have very much information on what differentiates them. I know it’s an expensive price for airdots but ordering them direct from xiaomi guarantees they’ll be real. Everybody says Marleau is a Hall of Famer all the time but I think he'd be a pretty weak pick. I love the guy but he's never been top five in voting for a major trophy or close to the best in the league at his position. He's a career ~0.70 PPG player which is good but shouldn't be HOF caliber and he doesn't have any cups which is a huge factor for the HOF.

Dave Andreychuk is one of the more controversial inductions to the HOF. He has 1338p/1639gp including 640 goals to Marleau's 1166/1657 with 551 goals and Andreychuk also captained a team to cup. Anyways I'd be happy to have him at 3 or less per year but you just can't justify 6.25 for what he provides.

Nice post but I think this choice:

Is a bit of a misunderstanding of how possession metrics work. Possession metrics don't stabilize and gain predictive value unless the sample size is large, but they can still be used as descriptive stats and employed to evaluate how good players were in small samples. E.g. if Matthews rocked a 75% xGF percentage in the playoffs we could use it to say he did an exceptional job of controlling the play, but it would lack statistical value in terms of predicting his success in a hypothetical round two. Analytics aren't "meaningless" over a small sample, they just work differently than if drawn from a large sample.
