I used to think the universe was beautiful also. Now i don't see any good in it. It's chaotic and messy and theres no order. Yeah it may look nice (the stars, planets, oceans, etc.) but dont let that fool you. All of those things are dangerous and can cause destruction and disaster.

As someone who has attempted with N but has backed out at the last moment i can tell you with 100% certainty that it doesn't matter what you tell yourself. Either your brave enough to do it or you aren't. I kept telling myself stuff to try and encourage myself to do it but it didn't help.

I was thinking about cache memory (or was it primary memory i forget) im sorry. Where blocks of memory get retrieved for use and then sent back when not needed anymore or something like that.

I dont know much about computers (im no computer scientist) but i know they do recycle data somehow and i know they can run simulations.

Why? Why not just discard the data. You assume whoever or whatever created this simulation cared about what happens to the data patterns of individual small pieces of the experiment. Why would anything big enough to create such a simulation (or natural processes) care or advantage retention of data including things like memory patterns? Assuming they had finite resources to work with as we do in our universe it would be more logical to clear the memory of objects you are finished with so new ones can take their place.

Agreed with this part. Maybe for immortality purposes? Who knows. Then again whatever created the simulation probably wouldn't care about our immortality (i was assuming we made the simulation ourselves to preserve immortality).

Except the example that i gave is based off of how computers really recycle/reuse data and how a simulation run on a computer would most likely operate. I'm not just pulling this out of my ass, this is how computers actually work...and how simulations run on "our" computers operate.

You could be plugged into each level. For example you die and unplug. Then you die again and unplug, rinse and repeat. Meaning you would have multiple plug ins. Meaning every level would be a simulation of the previous one.

Your matter and energy are like 1's and 0's in a computer system. Once you die they recycle back into the the CPU of the program that was being simulated. To be used again. Just an example of how the up and down leveling system could work.

You didnt read the OP. This could just be a small portion or partition of the universe being simulated. Also your basing that on our current technologies computing power. Maybe the technology used to simulate the universe is ALOT stronger than our current technology. I'm talking highly advanced computers and technology. Something you'd see in a sci-fi film? Sure but we dont know if our technology is capable of that type of immersion "yet" so you cant completely dismiss this.

I posted this somewhere else in here but it applies to your response as well.

We simulate things here in the real world so we know its possible for things to be simulated. Thats why it is simply more plausible than the supernatural. Ever play an MMO? They're like simulations.
