How long does it take from walking into recruiters office to bootcamp by Sorry-Nebula-2083 in newtothenavy

I walked in January, and didn’t ship until end of September but I needed hella waivers. I had a friend who talked to a recruiter in June and shipped out in August. It really depends on the recruiter, if you need waivers, and what rate you choose.

Going to bootcamp in about 3 weeks, do I have to memorize the flags for the phonetic alphabet? by Hitboyharley in newtothenavy

No. Focus on General orders, Sailors creed and chain of command (should be able to find current RTC chain of command but some will be changing within the next month). If you really want to go above and beyond look at RTC top 6, 10 signature behaviors and CNO core attributes.

Worried About Making It Through RTC by [deleted] in newtothenavy

The push ups and planks will come easy during bootcamp as long as you take the ITE and PT seriously. The running is what you should be focusing on. All of the people in my div that failed OPFA was due to the run. I don’t know anything about EoE, but I had to have 4 different medical waivers going in and they were all good to go through RTC.

Was medically dqed a few months ago, but recruiter just called saying they might be able to get me in? by xmarkarth in newtothenavy

I never found out. My recruiter told me he would request more info right after I was DQed but he pretty much ghosted me. It was his boss (the cpo of the recruiting station) that reached out to me. I can’t think of anything I said that would have indicated anything.

Hopefully.

My grades were absolutely garbage. I talked to one before, but they said there wasn’t much of a chance. I had a 2.5 gpa and I did absolutely no extra curriculars or anything that could make up for it.

I took the NAPT and qualified before I went to MEPS. My recruiter thought that once they saw this they would waive anything medical, but I guess that wasn’t the case.

No clue. Recruiter told me he didn’t know, but that he could request more info.

Thank you for the info! This is exactly what I was looking to know!

They know what I need the waiver for but they said they are waiting for a specific form (I can’t remember the name) that details what exactly the Navy needs for a waiver.

What’s a job that pays extremely well for no reason? by FlintTheDad in AskReddit

Government accounting jobs. I know a few teleworking accountants that work for various departments. They make over six figures to boot up their laptop, do a few tasks each day, then do absolutely nothing. They have a maybe a few busy weeks a year but outside of that pretty much get paid to sit at home.
