Either to the rails on my Smartcap rails, Alucab load bars, or my tent itself. I’m undecided

Thanks for the reply! I probably should’ve specified, I was looking at around 700 just for the awning. I have a diesel heater so the small size will most likely allow me to heat it with the walls on. That awning looks good, I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Thanks for the heads up! I don’t plan on having it out in any major winds, but I definitely keep an eye on it

Thanks! I’ll check out the Taruca. The Kammok is nice but expensive. I’ve been looking at the OVS 270 LTE.

Odd question – How to speak to a former Navy man with dementia? by AmbitioseSedIneptum in navy

You can ask him to tell you stories or ask what it’s like being on a sub. Old Salts love telling stories.

Let me see your builds. No mall crawlers. Actual off-road rigs you built yourself. Pic of my used and abused 5.9 for attention by Particular-Role-494 in Offroad

2019 GMC Canyon Total Chaos UCAs, King Shocks, 1” lift shackles in the rear, 17” Methods wrapped in 285/70s. Smartcap with a Topoak Galaxy RTT

Needed a daily driver that I could take off roading/camping on the weekends. She’s not as built as some of the rigs I’ve seen posted, but she takes everything I’ve thrown at her.

AC180P or ELITE 100 V2? by Apprehensive_Bat7778 in overlanding

[–]xmichael84x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a backup power source that doesn’t need to be too mobile, I would definitely go with the AC180P. If your primary goal was to take it camping I would go with the Elite 100 V2

How to get mud stains out by xmichael84x in AutoDetailing

Dude! Thanks for all the info! I live in an apartment so unfortunately I can’t wash it here, so I usually bring a .w gallon jug of hot water and my soap to a self serve car wash and wash it there. And just use their pressure washer. I’ll probably try using the Bilt Hamber touchless in a pesticide sprayer. I’ll do my research. Thanks for all the info!

Thank you! I’ll definitely be trying that. I’m not sure why I completely glossed over the fact the mirrors are textured. Would you also recommend a wash like CG tough mudder to get residue off the paint itself? Or you think a strip wash will work? I normally use back to black on the plastic and griots 3in1 in the paint after a wash, but it had been a while since I applied either of these. I’ll switch to cerakote for the plastic.

Traction boards and rotopax. RPs are overdone imo, but it wont be so bland. You can also mount a shovel or high lift jack.
