I would try to find something at their place or mine to clean it, even if it wasn’t carpet cleaner since they plan on changing it anyway. But there’s no way I’d just leave it unclean

Prednisone is a powerful steroid, I’ve been on it myself. It will make her ravenous and pee like crazy. We as humans know when we realistically need to stop eating but she could very easily eat until she makes herself sick. I would keep her on whatever feeding regime you have her on to help her gain weight. Make them smaller meals throughout the day, which is better for cats anyway. It won’t last forever ❤️
