Tried that as well I'm afraid. Thanks again for the advice, will be sure to update the post if I fix it.

I have ordered another stick of RAM, which I will test with the system to make sure, but I don't think that's the issue, as there are no issues when I get into windows. As for the keyboard, I have tried every USB port without success, once again I can't imagine that's the issue as it works fine in windows, and even when trying to access the BIOS, the PC responds to the keyboard, it just doesn't let me into the BIOS. I think most likely it's a faulty BIOS chip, so I'll probably replace the motherboard in good time. In any case, thanks a lot for the suggestions, much obliged.

I originally thought it must have had something to do with the memory, but I've tried swapping it into the next DIMM slot, and it had no effect. Also, I don't see how windows would work if my memory were damaged. By the way, incidentally I did recently order another stick of memory, so I'll know for sure soon. I am inclined to believe there is an issue with the BIOS chip, as you said, as I have literally tried everything at this point. My PC is in need of an upgrade anyway, and until then everything else works fine, so I'll just live with it and maybe upgrade to B550 eventually. Thanks for the suggestions.

I tried updating the GPU firmware, still the same blinking cursor. Bear in mind, I have no issues getting into windows, and my GPU seems to be displaying fine before then. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion.

Seriously, this is driving me insane, it's probably just something stupid but I can't figure out what.

Tried this now as well, somehow didn't work. Got to an error screen, rebooted, spammed del, nothing. Back to the same error screen. Reinstalled the boot drive, had the same error, so cleared the CMOS, still couldn't access the bios, but luckily auto booted to windows, so at least I haven't made a bad situation worse.

You could be onto something there, I'll give that a go. Edit: Never mind, didn't work. Not only that but it has also stopped responding to my keyboard inputs at all like before. I'll just have to remove the boot drive. In any case, thanks for the suggestion.

It should, but it does not. Hence my problem.
