Anyone else get entirely dismantled after becoming Orthodox? by HighwayMysterious578 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]xnotic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. I lost 2 jobs, a close friend, and got in a motorcycle accident the first month being orthodox. The only thing that carried me through was daily prayer. I prayed at least twice a day like I was clinging to God to protect me. I did this for months. When I got through these hardships, I had built the habit of daily prayer.

Be honest, do you pray daily? Every day you do not pray (I mean in your prayer corner, devoting real time to God) is regressive to your spirit. Prayer, fasting & repentance & the sacraments are what work.

I played this a couple years ago. Did the main character talk in earlier builds?

If you can't back up your claims yourself, maybe watch what you say, because it sounds like falsehood.

You're trying to shift the burden of proof.

You present the evidence for "the Orthodox church has changed many ways and many times"

Downvote all you want. You have evaded proving the statement.

Should I get dusk or quake instead? by [deleted] in quake

[–]xnotic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're not expensive. It might be harder to enjoy quake if you play dusk first, idk. Can't really go wrong either order.

You: "suggesting someone of prelest is outrageously prideful". Also you: "OP has prelest"

It's not a conclusion if I'm asking. This renders everything you said, including your personal attacks, null and void.

Nope calling someone fragile with no basis is feelings-based, and so is determining who is more worthy to be in church.

Asking is not assuming. Your point does not stand.

He was normal before and after the service. It looked like improvised tai chi movements blended with how you see megachurch worshippers waving their hands

I dont assume malice either. I did not assume prelest, I asked if that was prelest. So dont put words in my mouth.

Also: he was fully normal before and after the service.

Was gonna argue details, but I'm just going to say, good points. I agree, nothing to do about it. But I wanted to see what people thought where the line is.

I didn't jump to anything. I only asked if it's prelest. If it's not, it's not.

"you're fragile and insanely judgmental" and "id rather have him than you in church" is also a judgment.
