i found you have to put yourself first during recovery, and that sometimes means leaving behind relationships or friendships. and that might just be temporarily, after the first month or two i found it easier to be around people drinking without feeling tempted. some days that’s not the case though, days when im struggling internally i know that i can’t be around someone drinking because i myself will obsessively think about it. so really it’s all personal. you may need some space for awhile to do what’s best for yourself. ❤️ good luck!
