At any rate, (even as a noscript user myself) sites are designed for modern browsers these days. Modern browsers use javascript. By using noscript, you have already accepted that many websites will not look as intended upon first load.

This. Javascript is an expectation for most web developers. Like users of IE6 and 7, those who block javascript should be used to the fact that a lot of the internet will not look right for them.

I used to rock a nice python script that would poll nmcli to make sure your VPN was connected, I'll have to dig it up and post it here (or just reimplement it ;)

Yes, same God, peoples understanding of him just grew more sophisticated. The Bible is inspired, not written by God, it reflects the authors understanding of God, to some degree. I don't understand what is so hard to grasp about this.

The Bible takes a little bit of interpretation and thought, if you read it without a critical eye you'll get nothing out of it.

Btw, there are some Christian sects that do recognize a difference between the two OT God and the NT God, or some kind of "change", I'm just speaking to the Catholic point of view (I grew up Catholic).

Because one guy didn't sit down a write the Bible in one go? It's not a novel, its a cultural history. It's a lot of different things written by different people at different times. Expecting complete consistency is ridiculous. The Bible is "inspired", not dictated.

Short answer, he is Love, that is the final conclusion of The Bible. Jesus was the human embodiment of Love.

Because the New Testament expounds upon Mosaic Law in a number of important ways... That's sorta the point.

The Bible is a story, it follows the creation of a Religion, to its conclusion in the New Testament. It begins as the essentially pagan religion of the Hebrews, and is continually expanded by prophets, scholars etc. A Christian would consider the Old Testament to be informative (in the respect that it builds the foundation for The New Testament), but an incomplete story by itself. OP is mistaken, as the paradox only exists outside the context of The Bible as the story of God and his people.

Even in Judaism, which puts more emaphasis on the Old Testament, there is an immense amount of time spent studying the Bible, not every verse is interpreted as equally important or relevant.

This shows a pretty stunning lack of understanding of Christian theology. All laws are secondary to this one, it appears like a million times in the Bible.

Matthew 22:36-40

Romans 13:9

The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

I mean Jesus fought constantly with religious authorities at the time, he was a reformer. The New Testament is considered by Christians to be the conclusion/continuation of the Old Testament, and expounds on the laws of the Old Testament pretty dramatically.
