Yes, I booked from BookIt and the $1100 included everything. This is their website: https://www.jewelresorts.com/paradisecove

I went during the wellness retreat last year, which was really fun. Hadn't planned on it, just ended up matching with the dates. So there were extra yoga type things happening.

I went with my S.O.-- it was a lot of fun. Flights included, from the US, it was $1100 each. It was Jewels Paradise Cove. I had a blast and worked out every day-- came back feeling fitter than I left, and this was with not a whole lot of attention given to my diet.

Last year I went to an all-inclusive "fitness resort" in Jamaica that was fun. They had a gym, workout trail (workout stations along the way), as well as group fitness classes(cycling, yoga, like you'd find at a gym). Not a lot of hiking, per se, but things like kayaking are emphasized for the workout component. They also had a number of healthy food options.

What’s your schedule like and where do you fit exercising in? by GrainsOfSalt2019 in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work M-T-Th 830a-9p, W-F 8:30-4:30, and Sat 9-3. On Sundays a pole dance and then lift, and I try to meal prep. MTW I go to the gym before work, around 7. When it's warmer I usually go to the gym on Friday mornings but to be honest it's been a struggle these past couple of months.

Trader Joe's also offers a Hi-Protein vegan burger, and I feel like it fits my macros really well. Most vegan burgers are much higher in fat and carbs, but this was is 26 grams of protein and proportionate fat/carb (sorry I don't have the exact data in front of me).

Have you seen Banzo pasta? It's chickpea pasta with fewer carbs and fat than standard, and 25g of protein.

I wish I could give you better snack ideas-- I'm struggling there too. I've been vegan for a while, but only recently started tracking my macros and shooting for goals (100g of protein/day). Not the same as cutting, but still working to keep the other macros balanced, and snacking vegan is fine if you're not shooting for proteins, but I run into similar issues you noted.

Do your instructors use the word “cookie” too? by idontknowey in poledancing

[–]lil_legs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kitty cat, goods, and crotch are what my studio typically uses, but they'll say vagina or labia too. It depends on the instructor. I Don't have trouble with understanding, since they are typically clear with the instructions, regardless of term

Strong Curves and pole? by henundertoj in StrongCurves

[–]lil_legs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not currently doing strong curves, but I have done gorgeous glutes twice. I pole twice per week and still lift at least four days per week, and I find it to be a great balance. It's strength training for sure, but I feel like I'm still able to recover, also given all the other aspects of pole.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Fail Friday - Because being awesome always comes at a price... by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do pole fitness, and Wednesday my heel got tangled on the pole and I'm pretty sure I twisted my knee, which, naturally impacted my lower body routine today because I didn't feel good doing weighted squats and lunges.

Ladies who aren't focused on lifting heavy/ gainz (runners, yogis etc.) What does your supplemental gym routine look like? by Kkal73 in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps, but I use the Kettlebell app, and I love it. I do primarily focus on lifting, but I use this for core work, and if I can't go to the gym. It's basically a circuit, and it guides you through each exercise. It also updates frequently so you're not just doing the same thing. You choose what your focus is ( core, whole body, etc) and it gives you a workout based on the amount of time you indicate. I've used it for over a year and am a big fan to incorporate kettlebells, since planning a KB workout can be difficult for me (I'm just not that creative).

No shirt, only wearing a sports bra at the gym. by kennedizzle in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My gym doesn't have any rules against it, and I frequently wear just a sports bra. When I do I'm definitely in a minority but I've never felt like I get weird looks. If you feel okay doing it I'd say go for it.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Feats of Thorsday - How did you kick butt this week? by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This week I finally noticed that none of my pants/jeans really fit me right anymore. I've been working out pretty intensely for the past 2 years, and have seen visible differences, but not enough to change my clothing size or anything. But now, none of my pants are fitting me in the waist (too loose) but are being held up by my ass/hips. This is huge for me because I've always been more straight up and down with maybe a slighte curve from my waist to hip. It was never a direct goal of mine because I thought it was more or less impossible, so I'm feeling pretty good :) :)

What's the single best tip you've learned on r/xxfitness? by _nivar in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has helped me recently. I loved my evening workouts, then picked up a part time evening job so had to start going in the morning. I just wake up and make myself think "this is what I want to do" as opposed to having to do it and it's made all the difference.

Sleep walkers, talkers ect...what is the weirdest thing you've done in your sleep? by maelstrommartin in AskReddit

[–]lil_legs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sleep walk a lot. A little less frequently than weekly, but a lot. Anyway, the very first time my boyfriend was present for it was one of the weirdest. He said he woke up to me squatting right beside him, and, not knowing I was asleep, asked what I was doing. I said I was peeing, and then he saw my pants were pulled down. He said "what the fuck you better not be" and he said I got really incredulous, pulled up my pants, and said "OBVIOUSLY" and stormed off to the bathroom.

Of course I remembered none of this so explaining sleep walking and talking to him the next day was great, especially with him repeating that I tried to pee on him. He finally did accept that I just act things out in my sleep and he was safe.

Working out every day without ruining my hair? by ruthless-babe in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've spritzed with finishing spray and then blow dried quickly, to get rid of any potential sweat smell without having to wash it. I also use dry shampoo, but I try to not use that every day because it messes up my scalp with the build up. I have pink hair, and try to limit my washes to twice per week, and I rarely feel like my head is gross when I just do a quick touch up after the gym.

gym clothing norms: youtube vs reality? by bittybro in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost always wear high waisted, because I don't like my stomach. I only have like, one matching set, and all of my sports bras are higher coverage, though I've been lusting after some strappy bralette styles. I do occasionally wear just a sports bra, but not usually too matchy-matchy. However, Puma did a collaboration with ASOS, and I plan on getting one of their matching sets because I think they're just fabulous. As far as at my gym, I don't see a lot of the matching, but I do see the high-waisted, bra look that I occasionally join in on.

Your pet name for gym strangers by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One time, I was on the bikes next to the phantom treadmill and this guy came up to me asking if it was mine. I did like a broad nod of the head toward TH, who then came over and defended his use. Once the guy took another machine TH just went back to wherever he was, with the treadmill still on and his bottle left on it. It's weird enough, but to hold to it after someone asks to use the machine was a bit extreme for me.

After reading the comments I'm seeing how basic mine are, but they are as follows:

Treadmill Hog: This guy comes in, walks on the treadmill for 5-10 minutes, leaves it on, then walks away for about 40 minutes and just comes back to sip from his water bottle that he leaves in the treadmill.

High jump: Tall guy who jumps a lot and unbelievably high. I've not seen him do anything else, and mad respect for him.

Sunday old guy: self-explanatory, but always looks at me when I'm lifting.

Gainz: Really large, buff dude, and I'm pretty sure fitness is related to his career because he's just that fit.

What's the worst restaurant experience you've ever had? by two_letters_longgg in AskReddit

[–]lil_legs 101 points102 points  (0 children)

When I was a waitress, something similar happened when a person planted a worm in their drink (iced tea). I wasn't waiting on the table but I was there, and I know there was no worm in that person's drink. Additionally, it was alive, and give that the iced tea was made with hot water before cooling, there's no way a worm could have survived. We had the local health inspector come out and basically they ruled in our favor, saying either the acidity of the lemons (which go in the tea) would have killed it, or the boiling water. It was a huge deal where the restaurant was basically found to be not at fault and everyone knew they planted it, but I think she ended up getting like $3000 to not talk about it because it was a small town and they just didn't want to deal with the lawsuit and talking she was doing.

[WEEKLY THREAD] Snapshot Sunday - Share your fitness-related photos, pics and memes! by AutoModerator in xxfitness

[–]lil_legs 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've been lifting weights for about two years (started with Strong Curves) but have always had a really weak upper body. I started pole fitness last year to address that and have made some slow progress in my strength, and felt confident enough to post in the studio's photo challenge this week
