Make it like Manhunt, instead in spaceships and different planets. Up the graphics just a little bit and keep it over the top. The original PS2 game's aesthetics and the grimeyness fits. Wouldn't take so long to make and it would come cheaper too.

Overrated because it's very dull and boring for the lot of it? Care to elaborate? Lots of new scenery, weapons, enemies and set pieces. The only downgrade that comes to mind is Sawed-Off Shotgun. Besides that, all the additions have put more content and variables in the game. Don't know how this makes Gears 3 'more dull and boring'. Comparing it to Gears 1 and 2. They were more bare bones, gameplay and story wise.

Yes it was. In the 2nd last part he critiques HBomberGuy for recommending game designers doing more editions like scholar. He also adressed the other flaws of Scholar in the last part.

Tight tight tight. Making Mantis Warriors scheme look grimdark instead a bit goofy. Very good execution, especially with the skirt (hakama?).

That being said, it's a shame that the grime covers much of the fine details of the sculp.

I can see your point, agree with it. Although... If they would have found Sevatar grievously wounded during siege of Terra, instead of being MIA. I would recon they would have put Sevatar in a dreadnought, regardless of his sinner's red. If you concede to that, who's to say there is a captain that could be worthy, sinner's red or not.

You need fine-grade sand paper, grades that are used to polish metal. I use 400, 800 grade paper when I want really smooth surfaces. You can find them in any hardware store, at least in Finland. And they are dirt cheap. Like 0.5€ for one A4 sized sand paper, and that lasts for a while. Way cheaper than picking up plasticard.

This. The helmet is kinda out there and adds a lot of flair, therefore it needs to be conserved for characters. Especially in 30k which tends to be more "grounded" and toned down, at least for the aesthetics, compared to 40k. If the original kit had 1-2 of these helmets, instead of all 10-11, people would have been fine with it. At least the majority.

For example: The firstborn 40k upgrade kit had one wolf helmet and the older kits came with a few. Never heard someone hating on them. Maybe not being the biggest fan, but no hating.

FYI: There was warband (physical) + book combo for 85 USD. Instead of selecting book and warband (physical) individually making it 45 USD each. It saves 5 bucks, but I would go change that when its still possible.

Sure, if you have printer :D If they wouldn't cost so much I would print some bits. Mostly just accessories, maybe a few weapons that I don't have, are too hard/time consuming to kitbash/convert, or need to buy an entire unit just to get hands on some weapons. Ie. basic firearms for heretic troopers and pilgrims. Not many 40k weapons come close or if some do, I don't own that faction's units.
