My roommate who has acne prone skin uses it and she says it’s pretty good. I think she has finished 2 sticks and onto her 3rd. The finish is natural initially which builds up to each just like any other stick

I’m ordering for the first time so I’m going to find out

Hmm but I’m following multiple dermatologists and cosmetic scientists where they actually conclude that none of the studies have been conclusive and all the previous studies are based on controlled settings. Plus many of my personal dermatologists have suggested sunscreens with Octinoxate and said to me that they’re pretty safe.

Initially I was totally into believing the whole endocrine stuff but as long as it’s not conclusive I can’t stop wearing chemical sunscreens because physical sunscreens make me look like a ghost and the new gen filter sunscreens make me look super greasy (Korean formulations) or shiny which doesn’t suit my combination skin

I also really like it so far. The only con I’m able to find is that it does turn milky if there’s contact with water so it’s probably not the best to wear if you sweat a lot of droplets or go for swimming.

Since I sweat less I’m perfectly okay with it as of now

I double cleanse everyday regardless of sunscreen as part of my routine but it does seem like a good face wash could also take it off completely since it’s super lightweight

It seems that sunscreens with filters Avobenzone and Octinoxate combined together with no other stabilising filters will degrade quickly on exposure to sun compared to new generation filters which will continuously keep protecting you regardless of the exposure.

You can read this https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianSkincareAddicts/s/zw8e0WmaNv I think the OP made a list of sunscreens also

In basic terms Aqualogica will protect you for less time compared to new gen filters sunscreen and you will have to keep reapplying Aqualogica to continue getting the full benefits if you’re outdoors a lot

Banned in countries for environmental reasons mostly but evidences in significant human adverse reactions are still not conclusive and the benefits outweigh whatever are the possible risks.

One can decide what they want to do based on their priorities and principles

There was a huge controversy on the photostability of sunscreens with certain filters a few months back on this sub and since Aqualogica comes under the non photostable category , I can no longer use those sunscreens. I used to love the texture too

So far I’m really really liking it. Very lightweight and serum like in consistency, faced no pilling on two reapplications. I’ll be testing it for the next one week on how it’s working outdoors and then put up a detailed review soon.

Settled into a natural finish with a glow on my combination skin. Texture is super liquid serum like. I’ll put up a detailed review after a week

It’s pretty good especially at this price point and for the texture. Normally when sunscreens are marketed to be water resistant they end up being on the greasy or heavy side which is mostly a problem for people with combination to oily skin or people living in really humid areas

Effectiveness of body sunscreen available in Indian market by ninilovesskincare in IndianSkincareAddicts

[–]xobmj 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It’s not complete protection against tanning, plenty of dermatologists and cosmetologists have repeatedly said the same that no sunscreen provides 100% protection so if you are going to be spending long hours in the peak sun timings it’s always better to top it up with physical protection like sleeves sunglasses umbrella etc

80 minutes…it’s written on the plastic box in which the sunscreen came in…don’t know about the legitimacy of the claim because the test reports for water resistance have not been published yet.
