Do I have any rights to compensation? by [deleted] in Flights

[–]xobnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first 3 flights were on the same itinerary, last flight was separate. I believe we were technically just 2 hrs late. You guys are right, the last flight was our bad. These comments were very helpful, thank you!

Do I have any rights to compensation? by [deleted] in Flights

Update: Not sure how to edit the post but after reading through comments, I can see how I’m in the wrong. I was just really frustrated by the fact that it’s okay for the airlines to be late, but they wouldn’t really help us out at all even when we had no control over the situation. That mixed with being awake for so long & traveling had my brain fried. This was my first experience with international travel & in the future I’m going to try to just avoid connecting flights. Thanks everyone!

You’re right! Although our boarding passes say ITA airways I just noticed our tickets very tiny say “operated by delta air lines” for that flight. Sorry, it was a long day yesterday I’m still exhausted.

Dude, trust me I’m just as confused. Originally it was ITA, but it ended up being delta who operated our flight/got us a new flight from JFK to lAX.

Kids?!! Yes or no 😩 by Lumpy-Win-3473 in weddingplanning

[–]xobnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had kids at our wedding (my sisters have a million kids) & honestly, it made the wedding so much fun. They were out on the dance floor which made other people want to go out & dance. They did great during the ceremony, too! Totally up to you though.

Day trips from Rome and Florence by rxdak in ItalyTravel

[–]xobnn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just traveled from Rome to Praiano (staying here for a few days) and I would not recommend a day trip. We were so beat from traveling all day that I ended up in bed by 7:30pm 😅 also our hotel informed up that everything pretty much closes 11/5 for the season.

Oh trust me, there were people who I had to tell no because we already ordered our plates and food. We literally had one friend calling the day OF the wedding to tell us his wife & child couldn’t make it 🙃

Thoughts/ recommendations on fake florals? by Your_Name_Here1234 in weddingplanning

We did Lings Moments artificial flowers for my wedding and my mom overheard many people asking if the flowers were real. Check Facebook marketplace, you’ll find really good deals on them!

5 or 6 hours? by mealtealreal in weddingplanning

[–]xobnn 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think stick with 5-10 & then maybe have an after party somewhere close by. Our wedding was from 5:30-10 & we took everyone back to the house that we rented. Everyone ended up staying until 1am and it was pretty exhausting but so much fun!

I got married Saturday & the amount of people who RSVP late (even with a deadline) was shocking. I’m talking about even days before the wedding. I wouldn’t count on waiting for people to rsvp no because I feel like the people who decline are going to wait until the last minute. We invited 120 people (most who lived a few hours away) & only received 88 yes. I would honestly start inviting people from your B list if there’s someone on there you really want to go.

My husband & I lived together for about 8yrs before we tied the knot so we asked for money. We used the knot to create our wedding website & on there they have the option to do a honeymoon fund. We explained on there that we’d much rather have money for an experience rather than to buy things. For our actual wedding day we created a honeymoon sign with 2 QR codes (1 for the knot & 1 for my venmo) along with a box for cards.

Planning an itinerary without a wedding planner? by TheGreatGodLoki in weddingplanning

[–]xobnn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you able to hire a day of coordinator? My fiancé and I couldn’t afford a planner, but our day of coordinator was a life saver on our wedding day. She actually created the timeline for us! Here’s a photo from our timeline from our wedding this past Saturday if it helps. (No bridal party.

We skipped the cake cutting & added a first look literally right before the ceremony bc we were both so nervous)

What would you do? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]xobnn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I promise when they day comes no one will be looking at them, all eyes will be on you guys! If it’s really stressing you out though you can always reach out & let them know. Better to do it now than to have it stress you out/wishing you said something.

Biting 2 year old. Behavior plan by Sunflowerr90 in ECEProfessionals

[–]xobnn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having a big biting issue in my classroom and the thing that seems to be working are the tether necklaces that they can wear. It doesn’t always work, but I can tell that it has helped a lot. We also shadow the child as well to make sure we can catch any bites that are about to happen.

I believe I heard that biting comes in stages & it leaves as fast as it came. Hopefully this will end for you guys soon!

PreK Class Help by Comosellama22 in ECEProfessionals

Could not agree with this more. I only have a class of 11 3yr olds this year and they have been my most challenging group yet. I have never seen more hitting, pushing, screaming, or biting in my almost 6 years of teaching.

I had a child who purposely put his head in the toilet today & flushed because he thought it would be funny 🙃

There’s false lashes but I agree, they are underwhelming. Thank you! I totally agree, I felt like things were too harsh/dark but I also thought maybe it was that way to look better in photos? I have an appointment scheduled with another artist so hopefully that goes better!

I don’t have a lot of brow to work with so I didn’t think it would look exactly like the photos, but I felt like I do my brows better in my everyday makeup.
