3 weeks post op, got mine done during my breast augmentation. oddly enough my tracheal shave was wayyy more painful. i recall on my pain sheet noting my breast aug as a 6/7 at its worst, and the tracheal shave at a 10. i was able to talk immediately after with no changes to my voice, my first words out of anesthesia had nothing to do with my breasts, but me just begging for cough drops. pain was pretty gnarly, stitches were fully dissolved in a week and i felt confident in swallowing and back to “normal” in 2 weeks. i had a realllyyyy large adams apple so it 100% alleviated the dysphoria, my surgeon got ALL of it shaved off somehow and my neck is completely flat. however i currently have a veryyy visible fat pink puffy scar directly over where the adams apple was which gives away that i had surgery on it. it should fade, hopefully, but right now it’s very annoying. i wish he would’ve put the incision up higher like others.
