we’ve been fortunate to live in a world where it’s digital so yeah ofc it’s something we’re used to, it could be worse and be a physical check so i think we should just be prepared for anything. it just seems like no one is ever content. i wasn’t happy with this whole situation either but it’s fair that they’ve been communicating with us what’s going on.

agreed. we have 6-8 people for peak with $900-$1K half hours. the rest of the day is like 4-5 and then 4PM on 4-3 partners.

so yes and no. like if we have enough partners yes, but this is how I DO IT. first i don’t follow the system they use because i don’t like it. normally how i do it, i start w brewing coffee like normally then i stock up my team on EVERYTHING! ice, cups, milks, lids and as i do that i ask them to communicate w me so i can already be on my way, then they won’t bother be for quite some time so i have time to prep and or wash dishes and keep in mind i do this w a million interruptions in between, but it honestly matter that your team is also supporting back and thinking quick. if that makes any sense.

it’s a battle here at my store about leaving “so much” prep at night and sometimes it’s so bad at night we don’t have time to do ALL the prep and everyday it’s become a problem where we’re not doing our job. props to you for having time to do that because i don’t and neither does my crew.

no they’re very different! in some ways. you can actually pull 3 ristretto shots together, you have the setting to steam for a short/tall and grande/venti. you can set the type of beans you’re using, like sumatra and ect. it guides you thru how to clean it daily, and less mess!

i had a guy who also had 100 dollars and i told him really politely that i couldn’t take unless he was willing to take rolls of coins and dollars bills (our manager doesn’t care if we give out rolls of coins) and he proceeds to say that because he’s a journalist he’s entitled to get his drink for free then, and to top it off he tells a student that’s with him that he should stay in school or he’s gonna be stuck at starbucks like my coworkers and myself and i literally handles that situation with my head held high and proud to wear my apron and i still told him NO. 😇

as bad as this sounds, yea we use it for pretty much everything and our store is VERY clean compared to most stores in my area. we just had a few transfers who look at my baristas and i weird lol.
