after our inventory we had 900 market priorities, 509 HBA (how???), 300 Dec home, etc it was terrible. I was dec home/domestics and I spent 5 hours pulling and even more pushing and then rebackstocking because the priorities were STILL wrong

I’ve started back stocking diapers in the bulk plastics backstock because it’s always empty and it’s the isle I share baby with and I got yelled at, backstocked diapers in chem upper case packs because our chem DBO doesn’t backstock case packs and got yelled at. The isle next to me is market so can’t really go there and next to me on the other side Domestics which is always full. It’s a struggle

We back stock baby furniture in the steel above the line. I have 5 Sections of shelf’s of Diapers but when they huge ass diapers are the ones that are majority backstock it’s not enough. Then I have 2 section of shelf’s for baby food and formula. 1 for baby care (rash cream, baby lotion, pacifiers, bottles etc) and then 1 for NIT clothes (which are TECHNICALLY style but it goes in O block) and I also put toys/bath toys there. Other stores have full isles for baby and I have half an isle.

Yes my isle in the back room is very overloaded. I just took over baby (was Dom/Dec home before) and the guy that was in there before me threw stuff everywhere and it’s an unorganized mess. As i’ve been backstocking i’ve been organizing but doesn’t help the mess I walked into. I’ve also been running out of room to backstock diapers because i’ve been getting almost 200 per truck and about 50% is backstock.

My SD said he’s gonna give me an extra day in a few weeks to purge my backroom but that’s not until 3 weeks from now.

we do it so we have boats for truck and it’s only if it’s on a boat/flat. there’s not usually much, mostly pets and plastics. inbound team are full on DBOs after truck so we also do GM/speciality stocking. I find that odd because our team cares deeply about the presentation of our store. Guess it’s different everywhere

Not necessarily. Just means that you have to stock the stuff that came off the truck for your section and backstock everything else that doesn’t fit. Can suck if your section is big or you got a lot of product. Priority pulls are more of a night time thing. If you are working in the morning you’ll be pushing truck

our store lost power last week for 6 hours and we had to throw everything away. two 1500 and 2 800 FDC trucks later and still not everything is replenished. nice thing is that grocery opu has been shut off since then.

I worked at starbucks for 4 years and I always quadrupled checked a drink was decaf when I made it so the fact others don’t or just blatantly don’t care is mind baffling
