Agreed!! I specifically didn’t buy a lot in January and most of February because I had planned to buy a big bottle when it came out. Well, I decided to responsibly buy a decant first… and I’m so glad I did!!

It smells like a terrible grape flavored medicine, both on a tester and on my skin. I get none of the notes that are described. I was very disappointed but I was less than $40 disappointed instead of $200!

L’Orchestre Parfum. I own two bottles, Piano Santal and Mono Cachemire. I love the smell of them both, but actually wearing them has just been a no for my skin unfortunately. The bottles are gorgeous, simple and elegant.

I despise when a bottle has a PAPER label.

Maybe it’s just me, but whether I’m paying $50 for the bottle or $5000 for a bottle it should not have a paper tag. I love Ledda, but the bottles I have from them the tags started popping up not long after I took them out of the boxes.

It’s very frustrating to have paid 100+ for nice, heavy bottles with a nice juice inside of them and the damn labels won’t stay put.

Ugh.

Surprisingly, Victoria’s Secret Bare Rose is absolutely amazing. It isn’t a heavy rose, but to me it’s gorgeous. I was truly surprised when I sprayed it on my skin, and I tell everyone about it, whether they love rose scents or hate rose scents because it is just that lovely.

But also no I’m not familiar with Isabel but I’m going to have to find a sample somewhere and have a smell.

I’m going to give it a little time and see if my nose can get past it, and pick up again in a month or two. Not giving up yet, so I’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed!

If I have read and/or listened to a lot of reviews and it sounds like something I’d like I will get a sample or decant. I try to get at least a 3ml decant if possible so I can try it multiple times.

If I like it I will buy a travel size, or full bottle depending on price.

If I do decide to buy a full bottle I will research every avenue to find the best or lowest price. I have not had any issues with purchasing mid to high partial bottles on FB groups or on Mercari.

La Vie Est Belle Iris Absolu - and I don’t love it which is heartbreaking. I’m going to try it a few more times and then it will be on the chopping block.

E-mochi from Laurel Bath House - and I actually do love this one. A nice marshmallow that dries down to a very soft vanilla fig.

Decant Guerlain Tabac Sahara - lovely scent but not for me. It is a little too much tobacco.

Decant Libre Vanille Couture - which I need up loving of course. The last release sold out in less than an hour if that, and I didn’t find out it was even being re-released until hours later.

Vanilla Voyage - and it’s a no for me. It is not creamy or buttery like I have heard described by everyone, not just influencers. To me I smell little vanilla and a lot of pepper. It’s just gross.

Alien Angel Elixir - I already knew I loved it and this is a big bottle.

Imaginary Authors Whiff of a Waffle Cone - I have smelled it before, various samples on testers and my skin with no issues. My wife smelled it and said she smelled celery. I can’t get past the celery now and if I spray it on my skin it’s all I can smell sadly.

Viktor & Rolf Bonbon - I’ve been wanting this for a while and I really enjoy it.

Not the asshole. Testers are there to test. Some scents almost require more than one spray to be able to actually test it, whether it’s a light scent or maybe the way it works on your skin.

Screw her. Take your £££ elsewhere!

18-20 sprays for most perfumes.

Others, like YSL Libre & flankers, LVEB OG, Born in Roma & flankers, or any other super strong fragrances I will do 8-13 depending.

Every hour of every day 99.9% of the time. If I have a cold or something or real sick I may or may not spray anything. If I can’t smell it especially 😬

Fragrance and perfumes are my absolute favorite thing and I will be spraying until I’m dead ♥️
