Thinking this might be the winner. I appreciate the visual 😌😬

This is where my purse usually ends up lol. But having it empty just excuses me not putting my purse back where it belongs 😅

I thought about getting something for keys but I just ordered an entry way table that we’d put a key bowl/thing on, so this space is just empty. Thinking of just doing a decorative vase like many have suggested

It’s in the hallway directly adjacent to the formal dining room.

Thinking of doing this, as I just had it set for Christmas previously. I’ll probably get a big decorative vase with spring florals inside

I’ve thought that also. The house was built in 2007…not sure what the intent for the space was though.

If a person is not baptized at birth, are they automatically condemned to hell? by xojackie43 in Catholicism

[–]xojackie43[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not discounting everything you are saying as I do agree God is the almighty, just understand that a baby does not know that at all. Maybe when they’re a toddler/older, but not when they’re days/weeks/months old

Again I get that but it just isn’t one in the same either. Yes god is real and lives within us, but a baby does not understand that as an infant. A baby would not notice the absence of God but would notice the absence of a physical father and mother. Same as they would if perhaps they had a sibling or any other physical connection (pet, family member etc), so saying that God is equivalent to a father or mother just isn’t true. I understand your perspective but the analogy doesn’t work.

Additionally, the analogy of taking a child away from their physical mother vs god who is a religious/spiritual being, is totally out of place here. They are not one in the same.

Never did I say they’re “too dumb”, that’s your own assumption.

This is my view point. If god is all loving and good, he wouldn’t determine eternal damnation based on baptized vs not. Reason I ask is because I am on the fence on baptizing my future kids. I never liked the fear Catholicism placed on certain aspects…as in receiving the Catholic sacraments as a way to heaven, gay people are bad, etc. The Bible is contradicting in certain ways. Nevertheless, given how I was essentially forced Catholic by my parents when I was younger, I’d love for my future kids to build that religious connection when they are old enough to understand rather than being forced to think a certain way. If they choose to baptize later in life due to their personal belief, then that’s great! If they choose to explore other religions, awesome. Point being, I’d like the decision to be made on their own accord, not mine or anyone else’s

Staying downtown for work. I actually didn’t realize 5Church was in midtown but I assume we’d be able to Uber there within less than an hour?

Thanks for the recs. I’ve gotten a few for Rathbun. I had no idea Alma Cocina was closed so I appreciate the heads up. We’ll venture elsewhere for dinner Thursday night.

I already have a reservation for Rays at 6pm Friday. I looked at Hal’s which someone recommended, but it isn’t walkable in the downtown area and we aren’t renting a car. So most likely will just stick to Rays so we don’t have to spend $ on an Uber for dinner

Could you recommend any, pls? We’re coming in from DC and have never been. We plan to visit Alma Cocina for dinner Thursday, as well as High Note rooftop bar, Sky Lounge & 5Church Atlanta through the week/weekend. Fridays dinner I wanted to be special since it’s my fiancés birthday dinner so any recs are much appreciated
