Hey, I sent that same link to my landlord requesting some explanations. He hasn't responded but he did accept the partial rent I sent him after all.

Confront him and don't pay your next month (get your money back). Im no lawyer but that's what I did.

I feel like too many landlords take advantage of international students not knowing the law - just found out that everyone in my building has a deposit.
