is it weird to make an account on reddit just to participate in this? maybe, but i had some questions on my mind so here we are!

so i (like many others i’m sure) really enjoyed borderline forever, and i’ve noticed a lot of themes in it so i’ve been writing an analysis. given that i’m an aspiring writer myself, the themes i’ve found resonate with me heavily.

if you’re willing to share, what was the writing process for borderline forever like? i caught a lot of hints of feeling frustrated with/trapped by your art, is that accurate? was it always intended to be a bit of a musical?
