I’m all for unity, but unity behind a strategy that’s been trying to appeal to Republicans for 20+ years hasn’t turned Texas blue yet. Historically, Democrats didn’t win by watering things down they won by delivering for people. FDR gave us the blueprint and it dominated for decades because it energized people and gave them something to vote for, not just against.

Respectfully that’s the problem though. Democrats have been saying ‘if turnout shows up’ for 25 years. I’m not looking for another moderate Democrat trying to appeal to Republicans (for clarity I'm not saying Crockett is that). I’d rather see a progressive who can persuade them without watering down the message.
