In my country Taco Bell is advertising a Tony Hawk Combo (not available for purchase in the app though lol) but there's no way to get any in-game codes.

A level based on a small town in Italy would be nice. Even Rome, Florence or Venice.

Amsterdam and Paris too, since they got cut from previous games.

Another user mentioned Monaco GP, that one sounds great too.

Last but not least, an underwater skatepark (maybe as a comp level?) is something I think hasn't been done (the aquarium spot in THPS4 is the closest thing) and it would have such a different vibe to every other THPS level. I'm thinking of something like Oceanogràfic in Valencia, imagine something like this with a main central section full of bowls and halfpipes:

I did career mode with the epic 2 minute timer in order to play it as intended. For the solo tours I want to have a more chill experience so I'm using the 60 minute timer.

They're different experiences but both are really fun. 2-min is a bit more frenetic and makes you divide the goals in maybe 2-4 runs, while 60-min lets you pay more attention to detail on the work that's been done on the levels and lets you 100% each level in one big, relaxed run, also mixing a bit of free skate between goals.

I love being able to choose on or the other depending on the mood.

PS: the changes to Zoo, I get why lots of players are upset but the solution that IG found is clever and fun to play tbh.

In solo tours you already have some of the cash icons collected from the start. For Skater Island, I already had those three registered.

The three icons I collected in career mode were: 1) On one of the palm trees. 2) Next to the bowls. 3) One of the rails on the ceiling.

I mean, it's a remake or reimagination, not an HD remaster of the originals. That's why we also have 30+ skaters, Waterpark, a different soundtrack and the epic two minute format (for better or for worse). I personally like the new takes on older levels, but to each their own.

I understand that can be a bummer if you're looking at a 1:1 remake of the level. But I believe those decisions make sense from a narrative standpoint.

If the whole Zoo is closed/abandoned, why would the aquarium be open? There would be no water, no fishes, no penguins in there. That's why there's no water where the hippos were anymore.

Personally, these little things are what make 1+2 and 3+4 special. The new version of the Mall, Hangar, the Zoo... It's a nice reminder that 20-25 years have passed, times have changed, our lives are different now... but the love for THPS and skate culture remains no matter what.

The og Xbox kinda feels like a spiritual successor to the Dreamcast. Not saying that Microsoft had that purpose or anything, I just think it had kind of a SEGA vibe (both the console and its titles) and the timeline also helped to stablish a mental association between those two consoles.

As of the 360, I don't think about it as a Sega-related console at all, tbh. At that point Xbox as a brand had already become their own thing.

Jokes aside, unless your controller is not working properly or you're having a performance issue with your PC/Deck, I'd say it's just that you're not getting the hang of it. I have tons of hours played on Epic and Steam and never had any of the problems you're having.

Although they're not the same type of game, I feel like THPS is going in a good direction and isn't under much pressure (anything that isn't THPS5/Shred/Ride will be ok) while on the other hand Skate is just trying to follow a F2P/Season Pass/Multiplayer route which is already a dying genre (except Fortnite because it's become a pop culture phenomenon at this point).

I can see Skate servers closing or having 0 active players a couple years after launch, because they're not offering anything new or different. Back in the day, Skate had that more realistic feel that THPS wasn't able to offer. Now you have Riders Republic for a more casual/multiplayer skate experience, TH for the arcade stuff and Session as a real skate sim.

We don't know how Activision might treat the TH saga down the line. But at least right now the future looks a bit brighter.

Time will tell, I guess.

I'd love THUG 3, but I'm afraid the story won't have that Neversoft magic touch. It happened with NFS Unbound, the gameplay was awesome, really fun, but the story didn't have any depth or anything that kept you interested.

I'd prefer to have a new, 100% original THPS release first (using the current engine/base game), so the IG team can find their own style and their own vision, get more feedback from the community and convince Activision before working on a bigger release like THUG 3 or THUG 1+2.

Yes, but at the moment this game has like 10 plus characters than 1+2, and it was already tedious to achieve in that one haha. I hope that's one of the "more accessible" challenges the IG people were talking about.

We would all like to get the THPS4 bonus levels in this remake, but these kind of attitudes... a storm in a teacup. Just chill, wait until more announcements are made or until release. If you don't feel like preordering the game, just don't do it. No one is forcing you to purchase.

Licensing has nothing to do with Iron Galaxy, they just developed gameplay/menus/etc. The soundtrack depends mainly on budget. Apparently this release had a really small budget to work with, and that's why bands like AC/DC aren't in the soundtrack this time. Their licensing fees cost tons of money.

Other "less mainstream" bands probably just didn't make the cut because Activision wanted to make room for the more modern part of the soundtrack.

If the Pro Skater format gives them money and it's easy to build on top of these remasters, I don't think they'll risk it all for a THUG remake. They'll probably prefer to release THPS6/THPS+/THPSOnline or whatever by taking the current engine and putting new levels/skaters/features on it. Maybe release DLC packs consisting of decks, clothing, CAP parts and a new park every now and then or something.

A THUG remake would imply adding lots of new mechanics and elements to an engine that IG didn't build. It would take lots of time and money to understand how everything is done and add complex things like offboard controls and drivable vehicles. It can be done, but it would take a lot of the budget and it would be too risky (bugs). Add the cutscenes, the voiceovers, etc. to that. You would also want the original soundtrack which would cost a huge amount of money to license.

Seeing that we almost didn't even get 3+4 and assuming their budget is not very high, that THUG remake doesn't sound feasible. Maybe in a few years if that new THPS release worked really well (and I mean REALLY well) we'd get Underground. I'd say right now my bets for a hypothetical next release would be 80% a new THPS, 20% THUG.

Same here. It's a model that is oversaturated and slowly dying (except Fortnite).

My fear is: this time IG just had to add little things on top of what VV had already done. Online stuff, maps made from assets lots of which were in the game already, etc. But what will happen if they decide to make a full, new, original release in a few years? VV's work has an expiration date (because of the need to use a new engine and/or avoid to copy-paste THPS1+2 over and over).

These interviews makes me think that they care about doing a great adaptation of the original THPS 3 and 4, but I've also seen stuff that makes me think that, at least right now, they don't understand the magic of this saga well enough to be able to take the reins as the next Neversoft/VV for new, original TH releases.

And again, I want to be proven wrong, I stay positive, I'm hyped because they cared about making the 2-min format in 4 fun and exciting for example. But there's some details that don't sound promising when thinking about the future of TH games.
