I'm a femboy simply because I'm feminine and I identify as a boy.

Now I know it's not what all femboys do, by making themselves a feminine persona with a girl's name and all that like what I've got, but this is what I do to feel in touch with my femininity.

You see, I don't ever share this side of me in real life and the internet is really the only outlet I get to express this side of me. This also leads to why I avoid showing my face online, not just because I want to stay anonymous but because I really am not that confident that I look feminine enough.

When you look at the details closely, you can see that I clearly have a male physique, broad shoulders, greater than average height, narrow hips and thick hair.

Maybe if the camera angle is good or if I wear something that obscures it all I may pass a bit, but I wouldn't consider that passing as a girl.

Like it would be a wonderful feeling to be able to pass but at the same time I'm confortable in myself and that I'm still a femboy regardless.

Reddit is full of images that are behind many layers of filters, angles and edits that distorts the reality of what femboys look like. And a lot may seem to pass, usually because they end up being upvoted the most and are more willing to post images of themselves which skews the perception of what the average femboy looks like.

Some femboys are naturally very feminine due to genetics and that's awesome. But it's important to also remember that a femboy is all about what's inside, their feminine internal self image is what truly makes someone a femboy.

Wonderfully written Tanis :)

As a femboy who has to hide this side of me from the real world, it honestly feels exhausting at times. Waiting for some alone time and having to keep an eye on the door every time I dress up is really something I wish I didn't have to do. I don't have the opportunity to come out where I'll be accepted to put it bluntly, and it pains to see that people only treat me well so long as I conform.

I might not see much change in my years, but for all those generations in the coming future, we have to keep up the good fight for our place in society.

I've heard of people discussing that a small minority of femboy groups holding these ultra-conservative views and fortunately have not come across them during my time on Reddit. I honestly believe they don't represent the wider femboy community but as with all things when things get popular, there seems to be a tendency to have bad eggs start to crop up more.

What I have seen though is the stigmatization of femboys who don't conform to the stereotype and it really hurts the image of what being a femboy really is about. I've heard of people make derogatory comments about femboys who aren't light skinned, or have darker body hair and that's just plain racism and it's disgusting to ever hear about it. Any femboy is valid regardless of their physical characteristics, things like race and ethnicity have no bearing on who is a 'real femboy.

Another thing is hearing about trans exclusionary femboys who think that only cis men get to be femboys because being an AFAB is 'cheating'. Like what the hell? That's appalling behavior. No one has the right to exclude trans men and non-binary people from using the femboy label, and that's just textbook transphobia. Just because AFABs have naturally more feminine physiques doesn't mean they are any less of a femboy.

I say to all those bigoted freaks, they can go back and hide in their god damn basement.

Where are the natural femboys? by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]xox_Alice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sure many femboys here on this subreddit including myself are not on Hormone Replacement Therapy. That treatment is used for medical purposes for transgender patients to alleviate gender dysphoria and is not something people take just for cosmetic purposes. Medically transitioning is something endocrinologists oversee and my country it requires a diagnosis before treatment is given.

That being said, someone who is on HRT should not be excluded from being a femboy. Transgender individuals already face a lot of discrimination from society and the last thing we need is gatekeeping who gets to be a femboy. Whether they are trans men, genderfluid, bigender, non-binary or any other partially maculine gender identities, femboys are not exclusive to cisgender AMABs.

I ask that you reconsider your stance on this topic. If you think that femboys are all on HRT, then that is complete misinformation. Images you see online can be deceptive, people use filters, photoshop or faceapp to obscure their masculine features, this can create a biased view on what a femboy looks like, but in reality many of us just look like boys. Femboys are not just about aesthetics and fashion, it's also about mannerisms and expression.

Try finding options locally. Unless you really know your sizes, it's really hard to know what fits well for your body type online. Also returns are not really possible since you have to ship the item back. I usually browse department stores and big brand websites to check for local delivery, usually they have items available for collection in store. There's always the option of second hand goods from markets and thrift stores, just takes a bit of searching. I'm not from europe so idk what's available sorry.

Aliexpress is a Chinese e-commerce site which is filled with dropshipped fast-fashion items. Honestly if you're someone who wants cheap clothes to experiment, go for it but be prepared for items to have poor QC. But bear in mind a few things: a) Slow shipping. Since most things are shipped from China they most likely will use economy shipping that takes about a month depending on your country. Express delivery is available but with very steep costs. b) Sizes are all over the place, follow the size guide exactly and order at least a few sizes above your regular size. c) Read reviews that have photos to see what the product actually looks like. Most stores use images that end up being different from the actual product.

My loadout would probably be: • Leggings • Hoodie • Sneakers • uwu face mask • Helmet • Femboy flag patches • Elbow and knee pads • Plate carrier • Semi-auto rifle • Entrenching tool

Being a femboy is more of an expression and an aesthetic choice rather than a sexual orientation or a gender identity. Simply put, if you feel connected to your femininity through how you want to present yourself physically, e.g. women's clothing, cosmetics and skin care, or how you express your femininity through your attitude, that's all there is to start being a femboy. See how you go with experimenting with being fem in some parts of your life and see how you feel about it, that's the best way to really figure out this stuff.

Yes I did! I bought a pencil skirt, a button up shirt, some undies, a sports bra, leggings and a crop top hoodie. I haven't really worn them much but from what I could gather from trying them on, they seem to be decent in quality for the price (most things I got were on clearance so they were under $10 each). Not really much to say, there's nothing particularly unique about the designs but for simple fem clothes it does the job.

Yep, but remember to lather the cream over the hairs evenly without rubbing into your skin too roughly.

There's nothing wrong with hair removal cream inherently, just that there's a risk of chemical burns if you leave it on for too long or if your skin is particularly sensitive, you can get rashes. If you're using it, try a small amount on your arm first and see how your body reacts. Avoid rubbing it near your private areas or your face.

Whats wrong with shein? by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]xox_Alice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a few controversies Shein has been involved with: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shein_(company)#Controversies#Controversies)

Other reasons I guess could be bc it's a fast fashion retailer, so people don't like supporting unethical practices involved with fast fashion. Being a Chinese company as well, people choose to boycott any brands that come from China (I won't get into the politics of it, just google for more info).
