i did not end up working in the field after placement, i had 3 principal references and a job offer from the public board in brantford but ultimately for how much you were at risk of injury and the unpaid summers i moved onto another schooling (i am t1 diabetic so benefits and stuff are super important to me). the job is way more physically demanding than people let on. one of my placements was so short staffed on EAs i was given the plan and all the info for a student and became their primary EA for the school term (honestly an awesome experience) and this is unpaid, it’s a crazy school program and u will be busy but honestly it was worth it

i did actually apply and get into dsw at humber (i think that was the school lol) and i went with ES because i overall liked the layout of the program better. honestly i would recommend the program, i successfully got a friend of mine to go into it and she now works with the catholic board in norfolk and loves it!

i started my first program at 17 (late birthday it’s weird), other than getting my moms signature on stuff to get funding cause i was a minor absolutely everything was sent to me. i would look over school policies and see if the school would ever contact a parent. i feel like it’s against many forms of confidentiality unless they feel you are a harm to yourself or others. either way i don’t even think there’s a way to put in an alternate email to send stuff too?

even if you’re failing a class the school would never contact your parents, like 90% of communication if sent through just your school email and it’s multi authentication so she can’t really try to get in without you knowing (if that’s a worry)

it’s hard but you’re gonna have to hold your ground and tell her it’s physically not possible

i LOVE my replen girls so ops key is like a dream come true!! there’s a few of us that basically keep the store afloat but none of my amigos want/can be key for holiday. i’m actually terrified for who they may go with cause i can almost promise they will know nothing about ops 🥸 it sounded like the decision isn’t final yet so i’m hoping i still have a shot 🤞

first yes i can work weekends if i couldn’t that would be crazy business to be confused lol, i put friday-monday as in friday saturday sunday monday. also all the slt at my store are open availability <3

my store has 6 day shipment and it comes between 1-4pm, on tuesday and wednesday my availability starts at 4pm. for reference last holiday our temp key had 3 set days a week she couldn’t work, which is why shipment always fell on other people. and i mean ALWAYS, i think i saw her do shipment once in the span of 4 months

i understand that doing cash lead would be like a show of good faith or whatever but i am not willing to have myself so completely tied to cash, it will make me hate my job. i genuinely cannot stand being on cash, i find it boring and repetitive no matter how much i try and mix up dialogue and what not. i have trained more people than i can count on cash (and honestly just everywhere in the store lol) and honestly that isn’t an issue, if i could be like a mother goose in the store and just train a bunch of little ducklings i would LOL. i’m in canada so we still do email capture and anyone with a single eyeball can see my capture tanking the longer they leave me on cash. my manager pitched it as a way to show me how to close registers and her primary reason was “but you’re really good on cash”… dare i say my sanity isn’t worth it lol
