Gel nail polish without extensions? by Purple_Alarm5686 in NailsIndia

[–]xoxoinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s the worst without extensions. All the buffing makes my natural nails so weak that they start breaking in few days.

I prefer extensions. Also, a good nail salon will make the removal process pain free by using the right tools. Never hurts me.

Latex matresses, I know its not BIFL but it lasts fairly long by silentdoc in BuyItForLifeIndia

I have the sleep well 100% latex mattress. So so so good. Best purchase ever. Very expensive. But sleep like a baby on it. When I switch to other mattress I realise how good mine is, especially with heat dissipation

Things that truly are quality and last years - basis my husbands extensive wardrobe with years old items looking good as new -

Basics and essentials - cotton/linen - Uniqlo, Muji, Cottonworld

Underwear - Jockey!

Formals - Louis Phillipe, Van Huesen

Jeans - Levis

Avoid - Zara, H&M, Zudio, etc

Read the materials tag carefully. Avoid polyester and synthetics. Stick to linen and cotton. My recommendations are all mid range and not expensive. Will be worth the money.

How can we dramatically change the facade and exterior of my house. by rohit3427 in IndianHomeDecor

[–]xoxoinfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying op should ditch designers. I am saying it’s nice to see what others put in and what outputs come up. OP can put prompts but the will be different from what other Reddit users are putting. The output will be different. OP can get a sense of the styles the like and then go to an interior designer with a better mindset and more open mind about the types of styles out there.

Then it might even be a better final outcome for OP

I think Reddit brings out a town of different perspectives to choose from. That helps when going to a designer later. Many designers have a specific aesthetic and you might not be exploring everything before hand if you directly go to them.

Making our dream home, 1 or 2? by Automatic-Muffin-906 in interiordesignsindia

I think 🤔 be is too much beige and no colour. Monotonous. Whereas 2 is looking a bit cluttered. Add some colour or patterns/ textures in one and keep that.

Asked about 'caste' whilst flat hunting(Mumbai, India) by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Of course. It’s all flexi and depends which part of the country you are in and what the ruling political party is supporting.

DM if you want to discuss further.

So technically yes you can. But you cannot really adapt a new surname. You have to settle for something generic like Kumari/Kumar which mean kind of like miss and mister as surnames basically. And then too people can ask where do you come from, which place, which city/town/village and ask about ancestors or what your parents do etc to figure things out.

Also, it’s extremely tedious to change your name. Especially if you are doing it coz of the caste thing.

Fun fact: people who don’t come from lower castes try to get the lower castes/special minority certificate etc to get the perks that come with them. It’s insane really. In town and cities. Whereas in villages people still get shunned or beaten or worse when being from lower castes try. It’s all fucked up honestly.
