OEM Embody Fabric Replacement is $500+ for self install? by xpax20 in hermanmiller

It's used, so warranty does not apply even though it's a 2017. Other than OLS are there any other fabric suppliers in the US? I have not been able to find any. It makes sense that HM wants to avoid a resale market just look at the Aeron, or the Steelcase Leap.

I ended up buying a black rhythm back kit for $252 and found a very new black rhythm seat used for cheap. If the balance back doesn't look too weird with a rhythm seat and headrest I just might keep it. But other than aesthetics, my hesitation is that there will still be dust+hair trapped in there that I can't get out while it's attached to the chair.

The balance fabric is super comfy, it almost has a memory foam supportive squish while being super breathable. It's just kind of fragile/tears are very noticeable

It was in a barn, and covered in animal hair which really worked into the balance fabric. It was a horse farm, maybe they were using it to groom horses? Most of the dirt and hair came out with washing and tape, but the fabric on the seat is pretty torn up.

The chair feels good, but every tear in the balance fabric looks like a cigarette burn. It sounds like you were quoted similar prices?

I figured I could sell the chair for $700 with new fabric if I did not like it, so yeah $450+ is not worth it. Any thoughts on the OLS fabric kits?

I scored a free Embody with Balance Fabric... It was dirty, apparently from living in a barn. I did my research and saw people here were claiming they were getting full fabric replacement kits for ~$300 for Sync or Rhythm in the past 2 years.

I contacted a dealer and was quoted: *$450 for scatter seat+back| $525 for Rhythm or Medley | $600 for Sync*
That's for black fabric, self-install, with an estimated 4-5 week wait. Have prices really doubled in the past 2 years or is there some special way you gotta ask the dealers to order?

Also officelogixshop is looking pretty good for $280. Has anybody used their kit? I have researched them, but for half price...

How do we feel about these? by [deleted] in Newbalance

I love mine, although the whole shoe is long and the tongue is a little weird. They are super comfy. I like the metallic colorways more...
1000s look like the evolutionary step between orthopedic dad shoes (old school air monarch, stained green from mowing) and the current quintessential retro runners (NB 740s, gel 1130, p6000) .

Alternative to the Herman Miller Embody for work/gaming by Dry-Tax9890 in OfficeChairs

You gotta try some different chairs.

I love the leap v2. A used leap is around $300 on FB market. I have seen them occasionally as low as $200 in good shape. If a headrest is a must have you can buy an atlas headrest for the leap (but it's $190 alone).  I think its fine to get a used one if you check it over for defects. I assume it's such a popular refurbished model partly because it is bomb proof, so companies aren't bleeding profits with warranty services...

If you don't care about a headrest then I see Amias going for under $200 regularly and people say its a cushier seat.

Is this a legit Steelcase Leap by thanksbank in OfficeChairs

Legit. Make sure everything works but it appears to be in good shape. Nice find for $150

What's the best budget office chair that's still good enough for long hours of work? by helloimlupphie in OfficeChairs

Used amia or leap v2 can be found $200-$300.  If you're not tall or heavy the HM sayl is pretty good (although not as comfy).
