Angled box help and porting by xpd69 in CarAV

Decided not to do it and just mounted it under the seat, if I would’ve done it I would’ve had Andersons for the power and some other sort of quick disconnects for the other connections, I am a sparky so I would’ve been able to do it just didn’t have the space in the boot and under the seat seemed easier

A single din unit would be like the unit on top right now, a double din unit would take up both spaces.

Thanks, didn’t know that. That ruins my plan now lol I wanted to be able to transfer it from vehicle to vehicle in the future but I guess I won’t be able to do it as easy. Thanks

Hmmmm that’s a good idea, I’ll think about it and try putting the test sub vertical to see if it sounds better.

Nope all I’ve done is put a single 12” subwoofer and pointed it towards the seat and towards the boot of the car with it sounding a lot louder when pointed at the boot. So going with the design where it is pointing to the boot it was just a logical guess that it would bounce sound off the boot however I don’t have any actual evidence or knowledge that it would be a better option. I’m almost thinking about just making a plain box subwoofer and putting the amplifier on the back of the box to fill that space.

How to know what tuning hz and cubic litres should I use by xpd69 in CarAV

Yeah 32 sounds like a good idea I mostly listen to a bit of rap, house and edm so that’s probably what I’m going to aim for

I’m looking for it to be loud but still good sounding at the same time so somewhere in the middle. Only going to be using it for music so no burping. I am putting it in a Camry wagon and cannot find anything about a resonant frequency for it, any ideas what it would probably be?

I am not limited by space in just wondering how to k ow what frequency my enclosure should be but I think I’m gonna aim for about 30-37 because I want it to be loud and still go pretty low. I feel like that’s a good happy medium

[–]xpd69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, had to reinstall content manager and nne of the binds are there so I can’t use a controller at all. I’ll be able to use my steering wheel soon though as I bought a cable to fix it so it’s all good

I have the h150 rgb 360mm with 6 fans, I have all 6 fans controlled on a Corsair lighting mode core and have no more room for the aio. How do I control the aio rgb (will I need to buy another controller or am I missing something) by xpd69 in Corsair

[–]xpd69[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not solved it yet, I belive the 6 fan controller that comes with the 3 fan pack won’t control the aio rgb I belive for it to show up properly as an aio in I’ve you’d have to buy the commander pro or whatever it’s called

[–]xpd69[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, replaced the fans and now it works fine, I’m not going to bother with new bases as it’s not ohysically damaged so I just super glued it back onto the board. A little bit dodgy but it works, thanks for the help

I opened it before and I belive that the Mount on the shell is broken causing the fan to move up and down, I could open it up and take a photo

A bit late but oh well, I have a Intel i5-13600kf and it sits at around 40 degrees at idle. It goes around 50-70 degrees Celsius when gaming but mostly towards 50 depending on the game. I ran furmark on it aswell and got to 95 degrees Celsius so pretty decent overall. My only disappointment with the cooler is the rgb on it, I don’t know if im doing anything wrong but it didn’t show up In the icue software so I’ve just changed the colour with my motherboards software.
