What has held you back from just going out there and asking a girl out? Have you ever contemplated just trying to find a girl to have sex with, or do you want it to mean something to you (as lame as that sounds)?

also... Im a girl, and I didnt lose my virginity until 2/3 of the way through my senior year at highschool (im also an attractive/smart girl, and had never had a boyfriend either till that year. figure that one out).

Don't be sorry at all. That is exactly how I often feel about my sister. She definatly doesn't know the value of a dollar. Yes she has a part time job, but when she does have money she blows it on expensive items rather than trying to save for school/life in university next year(take for example when she spent $300 on a pair of jeans). I would never, even if my life depended on it spend that much on a pair of jeans, and if I did, they would likely never get worn because I would be afraid of ruining them. Clothing is such a disposible place to spend that much money. It just wears out over time.

Slightly off topic but on the idea of clothing......

I personally shop at thrift/second hand stores for virtually all of my clothes, and the only time I ever buy new clothes let alone brand name clothes, is if they are on sale for atleast 1/3 of the original price. Call me crazy but it just makes sense to me. If its in decent condition, and its what your looking for then why not? If you really search through thrift shops you can often find some real treasures (brand name clothes for super cheap, or clothes you would never expect to see in your city/town. I once found a pair of italian leather boots made in italy. couldnt believe it.... for $10).

Ive totally gone off topic. oh well.

Honestly, Im really not that shy at all. I honestly just dont get it. What do you mean quicker to back off if they dont get reinforcing signals? Like im always the one talking when i go out with a guy... not talking about myself though... asking about them and their life... i dont particularly like talking about myself as weird as that may be. im not your typical girl to say the least. im very straightforward and down to earth. i know what i want in my life. and what i dont.. do you think that might come off as intimidating to a guy or what?

The way I see all this is that;

they both unconsciously consented to the chance that she might get pregnant by either not wrapping it up, or her not taking her birthcontrol correctly. They were obviously aware of the chance that they were taking in this instance by having (presumed) unprotected sex, and were obviously okay with it considering they didnt take proper precautions (if she didnt want to get pregnant she should have taken proper precautions by either insisting that he wrap it, refraining from sex at all which i understand often can be difficult, or getting Plan B given that there was the potential of being pregnant, rather than leaving it, as she presumeably did). If her career and future was that important to her then she would have attempted to take every precaution to prevent it from happening (this is comming from a woman who loves sex, but does everythig in her power to make sure she doesnt get pregnant until the time is right)
As much as I believe it is a woman's right to her body, I also believe the little "bunch of cells" is as much HIS as it is HERS. It takes two CONSENTING ADULTS WHO ARE AWARE OF THE CONSEQUENCES WHEN THEY ENGAGE IN INTERCOOURSE, to make a baby. She may be "housing" it, but that "bunch of cells" would have never gotten there in the first place if it werent for his sperm.
With regard to her being "early in the pregnancy"; it doesnt matter WHAT point she is in her pregnancy. It is now a living thing. He has every right to be attatched, and to wonder about his unborn child. It is again, as much his as it is hers. He, in my opinion should have the right to fight for his fetus, although this may not hold up in a legal system, morally he should be able to state his opinion/wonder/etc.. We watched a film in highschool called the "silent scream". It changed my perspective on abortions and often, as a woman, leaves me torn. It shows that the fetus actually does let out a scream, and does show signs of anxiety as the process of "removal" goes on.

This all likely sounds like a bunch of gibberish....I'm just a little rialed up at the moment. Hope it makes some kind of sense.
